Great place to stay. Very clean, comfortable, friendly and acommodating staff, Harbour view, and walking distance to everything. Has a Zen Garden on the 2nd floor, and a roof top Harbour view on the 8th floor. Great Cafe on the main floor serving Starbucks coffee.
Not a real Marriott

Stayed here for business as a whole it was clean but the room felt dated. Coffee machine was old and no way environmental friendly. Ac in the room barely worked and would turn in at random times at full force. First day someone was hammering off and on from 6-8am. Nice place but not sure if I would stay here on business again. Hot water was spotty.

My friend and I spent one night at the Courtyard Marriott - Halifax, but I will definitely be returning! Beautiful location, room and lobby. Thanks to Mike for assisting my friend with a reservation issue. When I called the hotel today, after realizing I had left a very small, valuable item behind, Heather reached out to housekeeping. Sarah, in housekeeping, took the time to find the item for me (in a vacuum cleaner bag, no less). I am beyond appreciative! Highly recommend this hotel.
Halifax Harbour

Five nights at the Courtyard by Marriott Halifax Downtown. Excellent location just one block from the waterfront. Typical Courtyard room, clean, fairly spacious, good AC, nice view of the waterfront. A rooftop patio offers a welcome escape from the summer crowds and a great view. The restaurant has a rather limited menu but there are numerous restaurants in the area. We have visited Halifax before and stayed at many hotels, this appears to be the best value for the budget.
A bit ordinary, with a snafu

We were assigned the wrong room on arrival. It had one king bed even though I had explicitly made clear that I was coming with two teen children and had booked a room with a king and a sofa bed. The desk agent chose not to mention the switch at check in even though I had my two teens with me. After I refused the room, we ended up getting a room with two queens, which was OK, but a bit cosier than I intended. On the other hand, the location was good and the showers were effective. It just all felt a bit ordinary for the price.
