Little if any soundproofing, could clearly hear conversations in neighboring rooms and in hallway. Street noise also an issue due to single-pane windows. Book elsewhere, or bring earplugs.

Beautiful Hotel! The rooms were clean and spacious. I picked a room that faced another tall building so I cannot say much about the view (Thats on me) but from the other windows we could see a beautiful view. Both men that we spoke with at the front desk were Incredibly kind. AND a huge plus... This hotel actually answers their phones! The waterfall shower was wonderful as well. We ended our trip to Nova Scotia in this property. And it was an absolutely perfect end to our vacation.

Did online check in as I was told by the Hilton app that I was able to pick my room 24 hours in advance and so I did 906, then confirmed with the hotel and they stated that I had been blocked in to room 906 I then called at 8 am for early check in and they stated my room the one I selected was clean and ready. I got to the hotel and in fact the room was not clean and ready and gave me one on the 7th floor not the one I was blocked into, check in at the front desk and gave me key cards instead of mobile check in Something tells me they gave room 906 away. I had no choice but to take the 706 room and then I got to my room the floor was clean the walls were nice and white very clean theirs an entrance way mirror and then a long hall way. Once I was in the room I notice the tables were all chipped on the edges the chairs were all worn down the lights were even missing light bulbs Iv stayed in nicer 3 star hotels. The windows do not open and the sofa is worn down and the hotel Is noticeably in need of an update and refresh, I expect the turn over is very fast. Had some friends over and orders food, and then I went to use the bathroom and the bathroom was not properly cleaned their was black hair dye all over the middle section of the shower and up that was never touched and the sink counter top was dirty with hair, I did bring all of these comcerns up to the hotel and they offered me a break voucher as they stated it would be cleaned in the morning and that they don’t have house keepers at night nor would they go up and clean it them selves. So the next day went and nobody came I wait and waited till 10 nobody came I missed breakfast couldn’t use the vouches I called the fount desk to have somebody finally come up and clean it so I can shower, a housekeeper came up and cleaned it I asked if I could use the voucher for break fest delivery as it was 10:50 and they stated yes but now because I want it delivered I now, have to pay for delivery I said no that’s ok, I showered and the middle of the doors leaved water all over the floor and my clothes I brought this up to the front desk they didn’t offer to do anything I did ask for late check out but I left three hours early because I wanted to shower in a clean bathroom. I check out and wrote a response to the issue to the manager that his is also my second time staying in the same hotel, I had stayed two years ago and it seems nothing was done to fix the shower issue, the manager got back to me and stated no compensation will be offered so I guess they got what they wanted and I’m SOL. I don’t recom staying at this hotel till their are major updates or renovations to the suites, the staff are nice and give good face value but if u want to be compensated it’s up to them and theirs a chance they won’t care about the issues at all.

Our family stayed in a suite with convertible sofa, galley kitchen...etc. Our room had perfunctory decor with a space layout like a molecule with straight edges and lots of corners. (If you’re into feng shui, don’t stay here.) That said there were fluffy towels, bathrobes and a tv in almost every room. The one in the bathroom was smack dab in the middle of the mirror. The folks at the front desk were all pleasant. The hotel is located in the heart of downtown with attractions and shopping within easy walking distance. That said you pay for every kilometer of convenience. Parking is off site. Option: concierge or self park at nearby garage. (Public parking is available near the harbor.) If my family travels here again I’d be inclined to look for a hotel with a little less convenience and a warmer, welcoming atmosphere.

Location excellent. Room okay. Unfortunately we were there when a conference was on for a few days and priority seemed to be given to them.
