The good: This is definitely a classy hotel, very well kept with employees on the front line trying to go the extra mile for guests. The problem seems to lay with the management. This is the first time in my life I have a call from the front desk saying I cannot have guests in my room unless they pay for a room! Also, it seems booking a room doesn't actually grants the access to the pool: you need to buy a drink at the pool bar, otherwise you're told to leave. That day, there were only 2 of us tourists at the pool area. The hotel was almost empty. Pissing off tourists when they are scarce doesn't seem like a good policy. Breakfast is included, but I did not want to chance the cold food in the buffet that looked like it had sat there since the day before. No air conditionning, 33 degrees in my room at night, and no wifi either, a direct consequence to the power outage plaguing the island. Last, the backdoor to my room leads to a ptio... that's blocked off by a gate and plants! Not exactly safe in case of a fire. Choose Parque Central instead.

This hotel was nice when Iberostar owned it, but the Cuban government has decided to turn it into a loud, open air nightclub that blasts music into the wee hours with no regard for its guests or neighbors. On a weeknight! The entire neighborhood is dark from blackouts, but the Cuban government apparently has enough energy to blast a nightclub all night while the Cuban people try to sleep in the dark. I will not stay in this hotel ever again.

The Restaurant a way to overpriced. Very expensive to eat in the restaurant.
