We had a wonderful time. My husband and I were treated very well from the moment we arrived. We had afternoon tea at La Chocolatera on the ground floor and were delighted with everything we ate.

For a 5 start resort it feels like a 3 start in Canada. Canadians come to Cuba for sunny days and beaches and the fact that it’s cheap, but this hotel will take advantage of every penny you have. We requested to wash about 5 pieces of laundry and got charged an extra 40usd. They don’t even accept their own currency anymore, which is ridiculous. There was water leakage and elevators were not working. Food was bad, they serve the same cut cheeses and food from the day before. Not so clean, and to top it off how’s that an all inclusive when you only have breakfast included? Even bottled water is overpriced, no coffee in the rooms, but they have cups and a machine just for the « look ». Avoid, best thing to do is Airbnb from now on, otherwise you’re literally a walking US dollar sign to them.
