Mahalo to Aqua Palms

The rooms have been renovated and are very clean. The check-in staff was very helpful. The hotel was upfront about its parking fee. Although I knew I could find another parking lot for less, it wasn't worth it for one night. They allow you to call in at the parking entrance to open the gate. This allows you to park and go down to the lobby to register. You have the option to stay in the parking lot or leave after you check in. The elevators can be slow, but it was still not a long wait. We needed two rooms, which was not a problem. However, I forgot to state that one room needed two beds instead of one king-size bed. Since they were sold out of rooms with two beds, we kept the king, and we were able to work it out. In one room, the coffee pot was not functioning, but we really didn't need it, so I just left a note about it. Although it didn't bother me, my spouse thought the bathroom fan was too loud. This is the second time we have stayed at Aqua Palms Waikiki.
Nearly perfect stay

We were leaving on a cruise and needed a place to stay in Honolulu for a couple of nights. As far as location goes this is nearly perfect. It’s walkable to a lot of things (the mall, right across from the Hilton Hawaiian Village, ABC stores, within a mile from Dukes, etc). It also is a pickup stop for the Kualoa Ranch bus which was important to us as that was a planned activity for us. The room is awesome. Clean and had a cute little balcony (although ours didn’t have any sort of view). It was quiet and had a fridge. The price point was awesome. Very reasonable for the area. The biggest negative was the elevators. It took forever to get an elevator up or down. Besides that it was nearly perfect. I loved it and would definitely stay again if I ever needed a room in the area.
Highly recommend!

Amazing stay! Only stayed one night between timeshare stays, but would totally come back and stay longer. Smooth in person and tech interactions. Highly recommend!
Not good

Cleanliness does not appear to be a priority here. On one afternoon, I returned to my room to find it had not been serviced, and I had to spend additional time requesting that it be cleaned. I also asked to speak with a manager, but no one ever followed up with me. This lack of response reflects a broader issue—when leadership fails to address guest concerns, it sets the tone for staff, who then seem equally disengaged. What was most frustrating is that, as paying guests, there is an expectation of a basic level of care and attention, yet the staff did not seem to value that. There was no apology for the missed cleaning, and overall service felt indifferent. Additionally, the rooms themselves were not well maintained and had issues with insects, which further added to the discomfort of the stay. Finally, the daily fee felt like poor value given the quality of the experience, making the stay even less appealing.

Very disappointing experience. The issue was not with any particular employee, but with the overall condition of the hotel itself. The room was outdated and not properly cleaned. The couches had noticeable dirty stains, the bathtub had human hair left in it, and the microwave still had crumbs from old food. The refrigerator was also leaking water onto the floor. In two different rooms. For the price charged, the condition of the room was unacceptable. The pictures shown online are very misleading and do not accurately represent the current state of the property. I expected a much cleaner and better-maintained room. Unfortunately, this stay was a complete disappointment. It wouldn’t let me upload more photos
