Very disappointing!!

Unit 512 - Our "one bedroom ocean view" is an ocean peak if you bend and twist to see through the palm trees a sliver of the ocean. When you check in, you cannot check in at the property, you have to go about a block away and check in and then come back. I emailed to verify it was okay to delivery packages, they said yes and nothing more. We delivered to the address of our condo - they refuse your package unless you mail it to the address you have to check in a block away - no one tells you this so our packages were refused even though there are people at the front desk of the condo they won't except it. The unit is NOT clean, there is hair and dirt everywhere to the point my socks were literally black. The deck is covered in bird poop - they could sweep it prior to arrival but don't. The unit is extremely loud, there are parties next door and music blaring at night. The TV doesn't work, they have directions for it but it doesn't even turn on. The beach umbrella and chairs are $50 for the first hour, order your own and deliver it to the check in address 255 beach walk NOT the address you actually are staying at. The one thing nice is you can go next door and use the pool and hot tub. The beach is very small but it is right at the property which is nice. The beach is sandy but the water is rocky. The furniture is very old and there is no table to eat at. This is NOT a one bedroom, it is a studio with a half wall built in that has 2 single beds. Suggestions: Bring trash bags with you or you will need to buy some, same with dish washer soap and laundry soap ship or bring your own beach shelter (tent or umbrella) and chairs - just use a wagon everyone here does to go to tge beach.
Amazing location

Unit 81 has amazing sunset views of the ocean, city skyline and the Friday fireworks. Its location was perfect to walk across the street to the beach and to so many restaurants. Our 17 yr old teen boys loved the shopping next door at the Royal Hawaiian center, especially at Stussy. Uber was cheap to use from this place and we even walked 2 miles to the Ala Moana and Pier for parasailing and snorkeling at Turtle cove. We didn’t feel a need to rent a car. Shuttle to airport was $45. Note that this unit can be rented direct from Captain Cook. They were great in helping us! This unit is bare in essentials and will require a run to the ABC grocery store downstairs or on any block.
Nothing fancy, but a gem

Nothing fancy, but Regency on the Beach by Outrigger has a friendly staff who delivers exceptional customer service. Its location is ideal. It's a short breezy walk to the beach, military museum, restaurants, and stores like Long's, Target, ABC stores ( including an ABC store that sells hot food items like prime rib and slow roasted pork on select days). This condo also has a kitchen with a range, dishwasher, and a full refrigerator. It's equipped with a blender, coffee maker, tea kettle, etc. Just buy a good sponge and dawn diswashing liquid because the Palmolive they provide for quick washing is useless, esp. for carnivores like us. We booked our stay through Costco, so our parking fee was 50%off, another great surprise. We didn't have a non-stick pan, but we were given one within 5-10 minutes. They also provide filtered water outside. The staff were always pleasant and friendly. Our first choice of accommodation was sold out, so we settled for this place because it had a kitchen. We stayed for 13 nights and we were very happy. We highly recommend this place, esp. if you're on a budget. Who needs a pool when you have the ocean? Who needs a work-out room when you can stroll down Waikiki safely at dawn to past midnight.
Week in Paradise

Couldn't fault the Regency on Beachwalk by Outrigger for our family holiday to Hawaii. The location was perfect, right in the middle of the action, with a short walk to everything. Finding 2 bedrooms so close to the beach suited us perfectly, with 2 teenage kids it was great to have the extra space, not just a hotel room. Staff are lovely and the fact that you can use the pool at the Outrigger Reef is a bonus - not that we did as the beach is incredible.
Imagine Living in Waikiki . . .

We loved staying at the Regency on Beachwalk. It is across the street from some lowrise older hotels and Fort DeRussy Park, which provided great views of the Ala Moana-Ali Wai skyline from the nice lanai. The Fort DeRussy beach is only a couple of blocks away, and it is much less crowded than the main Waikiki beach to the east. This end of Waikiki is less busy and a little quieter, yet only a block from the hustle and bustle of Kalakaua Avenue. It was easy to imagine ourselves living in one of these comfortable little apartments. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed opening the sliding doors to the view while sitting on the lanai with morning coffee or a sunset cocktail. The kitchenette had a full-sized refrigerator, stovetop and microwave (no oven). We made some light breakfasts and reheated leftovers, which saved some money. Chatting with the staff, we learned that most of the units are privately owned, so furnishings and decor can differ between units. However our unit was clean and relatively new. We have already booked our return trip.
