Great location, full kitchen & friendly staff. If you're more into airbnb than hotels, then this is the perfect place for you.
We love having a full kitchen so we can cook whenever we want. We liked the access to the pool facilities at The Reef a block away. We also like the laundry facilities as we do not want to do check in baggage at all!
We got a one-bedroom suite for our family of four. We are not super tall or big people so it suited us well. Next time, we might book a two-bedroom so we have more privacy from our kids.
The staff was fantastic! They always welcomed us with a smile and were super helpful. Our departure flight was cancelled by Westjet eight hours before departure. They helped to extend our stay immediately and gave us an excellent rate. We really appreciated that as we were worried about being "homeless" over Christmas while not knowing when we would be able to return home.
On Friday nights, you can see the Hilton fireworks from your balcony. The higher floors have a full view.
Great Japanese restaurant, Wasabe, across the street. Take out from steak restaurant at Pagoda is a must for breakfast and lunch.
Do be aware of the cleaning and parking fees. Some updating could be done in the suite and the hotel. They were replacing the hallways carpets during our stay so I'm hopeful it's better now.
Next trip back to Honolulu, we're definitely coming back to this Regency location.
Quiet place closed to everything

Located 10min-walking from the beach and surrounded by famous beachwalk’s retails and restaurants, this hotel provided us a quiet spot to enjoy Waikiki.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms, however, were major let-downs: run-down and even smelly at some spots. There were carpet-changing works right when we arrived (at level 3) so daytime was extremely noisy. No compensation whatsoever.
Dirty, not family friendly, no pool on site

We had a travel agency book this hotel for us-it was marketed as a family friendly hotel and as a suite. It was on a side street, with nothing family friendly about it, the ‘suite’ was tiny and the lay out was awful. The tv’s did not work and the room was filthy. We checked in and left an hour later to a hotel down the road. We never got an any sort of resolution to our frustrations, the manager never followed up, either. I would absolutely not recommend

My wife and I stayed here with our daughter, son in law and 2 grandchildren in a 2 bedroom unit and absolutely loved it. The front desk staff are so pleasant and extremely helpful. The unit itself was really nice although I must say that when we arrived we found a hypodermic needle, attached to a botox vile, in the fridge and also a sanitary pad and several tissues under the bed in bedroom 1. Considering you have to pay a large cleaning fee we thought this wasn't great. We reported this to the front desk staff who were extremely apologetic and assured us they would take action to 9make sure this doesn't happen again. This aside we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it to anyone going to Honolulu
??*******DO NOT STAY HERE********?? Would highly advise to cough up couple more bucks and stay at Outriggers Reef Waikiki

First and foremost ridiculous “cleaning fees” charged right out the gate. I have a big family so needed two rooms. They charged me an additional $400+ dollars per room as soon as I checked in. Cherry on top, also an additional $39 per day to park our rental vehicle. So ironically after the onslaught of charges the rooms WERE NOT CLEAN!!!!
Ok guys I know most of us use a hotel primarily to sleep and rest after a long day of activities. But for the very least I would’ve liked to check in to a clean room and in pristine condition. The bathroom mirrors were not even wiped (still had writing from past guest who write when it’s steamy), there was beard hair trimmings on back board, tables felt sticky, outside chairs and table was dirty, and etc. Immediately felt as if I was in a cheap motel on the side of the road not one on a beautiful island in Hawaii. Many of their furniture is so outdated and seems like it was chewed up. The couch in the living room looked like it belonged on the set of ‘That 70’s Show’.
The only reason I didn’t rate one star because the staff is super friendly and immediately willing to help and give advice about surrounding activities. Also another plus was the ABC store that’s right outside the hotel and the quick access to Kakakaua Ave (Main Street). Other than the bad hotel experience, Hawaii was amazing and had the blast with my family with unforgettable moment. Will be returning soon we didn’t wasn’t to leave!
