Decent for the price - old and dated

Good: the view is beautiful. The resort is very empty so seating is never an issue. Average: the food is mediocre at best. The ocean is definitely a dangerous swim here - based on how close the shore the waves break. Beach is large and very few people on it. Bad: the pillows, the wifi doesn’t work, dingy cushions, dingy curtains, no lights in the men’s pool washroom (they had to bring in a candle- this was the entire week and is a glimpse into how much attention is spent to maintenance of the property). This resort is a more authentic Mexican experience. Mostly Mexican families here, most staff don’t speak English. This is a run down hotel on a beautiful property- but for the price it makes sense.
Keep your expectations low!

We have been at many resorts throughout Mexico. This was our worst experience. The rooms was dingy and dirty. Dead bugs under pillows and sheets, sticky walls, soap scum in bathroom, mold in bathroom, etc. Asking house keeping didn't help. Threadbare linens. Almost no English. Spotty internet. Many of the advertised amenities were not open/available. Food was - well mostly mushy? Very limited and modest (to say the best) entertainment. No real English TV. Everything closed up early (including beach access). Overpriced and overrated. Just run-down. The beach area is quite a walk (the little shuttle was never available when needed). Don't compare this to what you would get in the Mayan Rivera, etc.
Stunning place, very poor facilities

The hotel leaves a lot to desire! Very tired facilities, portals beds and bedding, the mold in all the bathrooms. The beach club is stunning, sun loungers cushions are absolutely disgusting! The food is terrible. Again the location is amazing and the staff is very friendly.
Disappointed traveler

Place is outdated and run down Needs major renovations . Room - was ok - sheets and curtains very old Bathroom moldy and has a sewer smell. Doorknobs are loose and half broken. Safe completely broken (the one in my room) Dinning - food ok - but very limited options Tables and chairs very old and some really need to be replaced. Decor looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years - very dusty. Pools - pool side chairs old and moldy Los coco Pool area needs more cleaning - too much sand around and in the pool. Not well kept Beach towels supper old - need new ones The place has potential - need major renovations and more staff to focus on keeping this place clean. Not worth the price I paid - I have paid less in other resorts and get my moneys worth. Not coming back here
Nice hotel to visit!

This hotel is good for the price we paid. The beach is at walking distance and there is a shuttle service available in case you don’t want to walk the stairs down to the beach. I am glad we purchased the breakfast included. Hotel does need a bit more of maintenance but it is expected due to the location.
