Fun in the sun!

Very nice, clean and always felt safe. Staff was more than helpful and wanting to help even if they did not speak English - they would find another staff member that could. Would definitely go back. The public beach next door was great also.
Best trip ever.

Couldn’t say anything better about Azul Grand! The check in process was easy. The food places were all excellent even just the basic buffet was always so good. The rooms were made up clean always and sometimes cute animals were left with the towels. Everyone was so helpful with any questions. But the best of all was the service. Weather you were at one of the restaurants, in the pool, sun tanning, singing karaoke, playing pool, lounging, the wait staff was always there checking to see if u wanted anything else. Many times they would even bring our favorite drink to us without even asking. And it was always done with a smile. Location: some people fuss about it being further away from the center of Ixtapa. But to us the location was perfect Because it was more relaxed and quiet. It’s also a short walk to the pier to get on the water taxi to go to Isla Ixtapa(which I highly recommend). The beach: the beach on Azul Grand is small and a bit rocky HOWEVER literally right next door only 5’ min walk is Playa quieta which is a absolutely beautiful beach with perfect wave. We went over there many times! The end: we definitely plan on going to Ixtapa/zihua again and when we do. You best believe we will be staying with Azul Ixtapa grand!

Certainly, not a place for non-Spanish speakers, but since I speak Spanish I had a wonderful time. The accommodations, the view, the food and drink, the service, and the pools were excellent. The entertainment is lacking in flavor. There is no live music. You could not hear the music being played in the infinity pool only the main pool. At night there is only 1 bar that the DJ only plays Spanish music. When we asked him to play English music he had and attitude and said there was mostly Mexican people so he had to play for them. Only when we tipped him $20.00 did he play English music from the 80's, nothing current. Basically there is not much to do after dinner because it's a hotel zone and you can't use the other hotels.

We had a wonderful time! Elizabeth at the Koffee Korner was so friendly and accomodating! She always remembered us and prepared our coffee just as we liked it! We will always remember her smile and friendly demeanor!

We stayed in Rm 2009 from Jan 25/2023 to Feb 8/2023. Pros- Great staff, special shout out to Daneila in activities, and Alex (Alejandro) in the buffet. Food was very good, one day out of 14 the buffet was a little iffy. Great building and views, very clean. a la Carte restaraunts are all good, try to get into the sister resorts "Oyster Bar". Good location. Cons- They take your wristband at noon on check out day, no food, no drinks, no towels. $600 pesos per person for 3 extra hours. I've never been to a resort that didn't let you keep your wristband until you were leaving. Don't get a late flight leaving if you stay at this hotel. Free internet should be resort wide including rooms for this level of hotel, the cheap ones are free! There is very little information on anything in english, information of any kind is not easily available. Overall, if I were a person that did repeat visits to the same resort, I would stay here again. I would choose any room ending in 009, ie. 2009, 2109, 2209, 2309. Great view and some afternoon shade on the balcony.
