The beds were not comfortable. Room was dirty. They accidentally maxed out my credit card, denied it, and then paid me back 7 days later. It's not easy to get around if you have a stroller or handicap. Hardly no ramps and elevators are spaced out. The tram has no ramp but does have an ada section. In order to use the ADA section, you have to manually pick up the wheelchair and put it in the tram. The 3 hotels are way too far from the lobby. There are lots of wasted space. They probably had many opportunities to add a playground. We couldn't really use the pools when we were there because they were not heated. Most people just sat around the pools.

We stayed for a week. Although the grounds are nice the hotel was not very clean. There are a few different buildings to stay in this resort and Ocean Tower is under construction. We were in the Makae tower which supposedly was the nicest, it was the most expensive, and had the best location. In our room we could hear everything going on in the next room and below us due to the courtyard the sound carried. The king bed was too soft and squeaky. TV didn’t work, and we asked several times about it and we were told the engineers are working on it. We encountered a few really friendly staff members. Limited food/ restaurants food was okay. Views from restaurant are beautiful. Plan to do a lot of walking or waiting for tram.

The resort was amazing. Lots of walking but great for after dinner walk off. We had a great time with the dolphins and so fun to see the monks seals in the bay. The staff and bartenders were so fun and really made the experience! The coffee shop at the ocean Towers is great for an early morning less expensive option than the buffet!
Spacious Resort will lots of activities

I was pleasantly surprised how large the resort was. There were a lot of activities to do and the room itself was spacious. I had the view of the golf course during my accommodation. There were malls within the resort and I was able to purchase souvenirs for my family after my work trip. My only concern about the hotel is the distance when walking from one location to the other. The monorail itself was also not convenient as it came late at certain points during the day. Additionally, there are a variety of restaurants to eat at but it will be a bit pricey. Other than that, you will surely have a great experience.

What an awesome resort. our room overlooked the Dolphin lagoon. Was fun to watch them swim and jump around first thing in the mornings. Rooms were very spaious and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was totally outstanding. was so amased at the size of the resort. everyone was very helpful. This was or third visit to the Big Island and by far the best. plenty of tours you can go on and the pick you up right at the hotel.
