Poor value for the money

Turaj P on Dec 07, 2024

The hotel and elevators are somewhat poorly laid out and make reaching rooms a longer trek than need be. The digital key is a great idea but doesn't work reliably in the elevators or room which means you'll need to visit the counter downstairs for a physical key. In each room is a predatory minibar setup including a fridge that, if used for personal items, will cause an additional room charge (How dare you try to keep the $9 coconut water you bought downstairs cold). Unique to my stay were two issues: many of the fixtures in my room were broken. The toilet paper holder dropped the roll if touched, the soap dispensers in the shower were broken, and the plugin in my desk lamp was loose enough that it sparked when I plugged a phone charger in. Also, the TV service in my room was practically unusable. The signal cut out roughly every 5 minutes, reading "channel unavailable" for every channel that I tried. A bunch of relatively minor issues that added up to a disappointing stay for the money.

Unfortunate experience

scott c on Dec 07, 2024

property is nice, as well as restaurant selection. We did not have a good experience as we experienced gradually worsening issues over the course of our stay. Our first night, there was no hot water in the room, and the shower dripped loudly. Maintenance did promptly resolve both of these issues the following day. Secondly, we had back to back reservations, which I both called weeks in advance to have consolidated, as well as addressed during the original check in (in person, not via the app). However, on the day of the switch from one reservation to the second, I became locked out of my room. This was not informed that would happen, nor have I had this issue at other hotels previously. Additionally, I was then informed that the only way to resolve was to go back through the check in line, a currently very long line to have my room re-keyed, this resulted in frustration, and a good deal of wasted time to wait in line again. Finally, two nights before the end of our stay, construction began on the room directly above us, resulting in a completely sleepless night as workers drug cables across our celing, down our walls, and occassionally banged on something. The following day was worse, as my wife attempted to work remotely from the room while power tools ran nearly constantly. The only resolution here was to pack (we were packed for a week's stay) and move for one remaining night. The room we were moved to was a lower floor, worse view, and we were compensated with a small food and beverage credit. Unfortunate experience in all.
