Disappointing hotel
Teaghan O (Chicago, Illinois) on Mar 28, 2026
This place was a nightmare from the moment we walked in. Unclear signage, booking was cancelled without our knowledge and we still payed, casino hallway was the worst, the smoke is everywhere and so are the drunks. NOT KID OR FAMILY FRIENDLY (the hotel in general not the city)! I thought Nevada was more family friendly. We had already parked and payed so another hotel was sadly not an option. Was super bummed after the horrid experience coming in. To top that all the activities my kids wanted to do was closed. Pool? Nope. Famous roller coaster? No. The room was not much better. The bathroom door was hard to pull and no fridge. If you’re a smoker or a wild gambler stay here. You’ve been warned.
Terrible

We ate one morning last week at the America restaurant. This was the worst dining experience I ever had: The service was very very very slow, the hamburger my wife ordered was hard, tastless and cold, my omelette was cold, they never brought my pancakes, Now the kicker: they were/are doing renovation right there behind a curtain so you heard automatic tools constantly.
Vegas pricing itself out of existence?

My room itself was perfectly fine. I like the faux exposed brick that makes it look like you are in a NYC loft. The bed was comfortable. Some reviews said there were mini-fridges but I did not have one. I had a view of a wall, but the room was quiet and served as a good place to sleep. The bathroom was a nice size and the shower had nice water pressure. It should have a grab bar though. Towel rack could be closer to the shower. Check-in was pretty easy through the MGM app, but the digital room-key never worked. I ended up getting a key card. My biggest complaint about the hotel though is that all the food and drink options on site seemed ridiculously overpriced. I had a beer at a casino bar and it was $15. A slice of pizza is $9. Everything just seemed designed to separate you from your money as quickly as possible. To me it's just price-gouging and it made me not want to come back.
Great visit

We had a 2 queen room . The room was huge with so much space and it was spotless . The beds were really comfy and we had our own fridge . This hotel has everything on hand - so many restaurants and bars and reasonably priced . We would definitely return . Excellent location .
A disappointment...

Our experience started our rough which lead to a series of discovering various disappointments. Not being a high enough elite meant there was little we could do. We arrived around 230 and figured a room might not be ready given official checkin was 3. We did all the checkin stuff, less getting a room, and were told we'd get a text once a room was ready. Fast forward to after 4-430, and no text. Others in our group who arrived and checked in later had rooms. We had to wait in line only to be told to wait a bit longer. Finally spoke to someone who managed to get us a room. The elevators are slow and quite a mess. You need to scan you key to go up, which makes sense, but the reader in at least one of the elevators doesn't read fast and it could cause you to take a bit of a trip (going up or going down). The rooms are a decent size. That rollercoaster is loud. The toilet paper might be the cheaper, roughest I've ever experienced. At least check-out was somewhat seamless...
