Staff at the Breathless are amazing. Lois, Johni and Rodrigo are top notch.

Breathless was an absolute pleasure to stay at. I had seen some mixed reviews mentioning the age of the facilities, but that wasn’t my experience at all. I would recommend upgrading to the Xhale Club, mainly for the marina view (which can be a touch noisy, but is truly beautiful and has a gorgeous sunset), but also for access to the quieter bar and the improved concierge service. Other benefits (spa, premium liquor) are probably not worth it. The food was quite good overall—especially Ocote, which stood out. A few shout-outs, in no particular order: • Leo from the Xhale Bar (mi compita) • Liliana, Jaxon, and Santiago from the concierge team • Nico and Mariano from the beach club Ventura from the dinner staff They all helped make the stay memorable.

Franco and Mariano were fantastic! Gave exceptional service and would recommend them to everyone! Andres with concierge was bar none the best help available. Made our honeymoon a trip to remember!

Breathless was a great resort ! Quite confusing to find your way around in the beginning. If you want have top notch service find “Franco” up at the freestyle Pool!

TL;DR: Modern hotel located in marina but not great food and the vocal sea lions became annoying. We visited in February '26 and my observations are: Pros - Located near the entrance of the marina and within walking distance of most attractions. - Adults-only resort that was not very busy. - Friendly and helpful staff who all spoke decent English. - Large shower with a ceiling mounted sunflower shower head. - Concierge went out of their way contacting local pharmacies for a critical medication we somehow forgot to pack. Cons - The sea lions in the marina amass on the nearby docks and are extremely vocal all day/evening long. They actually became quite annoying and were easily heard from inside our closed room. - The food was unimpressive. Dangerous sharp bone shards were found in the pork and my soda was flat. Service was also rather slow and portion sizes small. After a few days we ended up eating elsewhere because the food around town is absolutely amazing. Food outside of the hotel was the best part of our trip. - The rooms are modern with a balcony but no dresser for clothes.
