Fiesta Americana, Cabo, among the best in Mexico.

Charles I on Jul 20, 2024

We love the Fiesta American. Year after year the experience and the service is exceptional. Our pool side server Byan made us feel like we were his only clients on the busiest of days. We have come just as a couple and with the while family, and the experience is excellent either way. CI.

Fiesta Americana resort los cabos

Sally P (San Antonio, Texas) on Jul 20, 2024

First time staying at Fiesta Americana and the experience has been outstanding the customer service was just so wonderful I don't think o ever saw one person frown or mad not like in the U.S. everyone here has been real nice and friendly. The food has been really good. I ate at La peninsula and ate a cheesesteak and wings, lemon fish and nachos and everybody was great.. also ate at the grill for hamburgers and they were really good also. We had dinner for birthday at La Bodega for steak and it was really good I had a filet mignon my partner had costias de res and surf in turf. The breakfast buffet is outstanding as well I have been really blown away with great food and service. The servers at La peninsula deyvi and Rodrigo were outstanding gentleman with great customer service and hospitality they even sang to us. Thank you guys for making our vacation one to remember.

In decades of extensive global travel this may be the worst hotel ever. Don't stay here.

Stan S on Jul 20, 2024

To give credibility to my perspective, I am a very experienced global traveler, over 3m miles on United alone, hit Emirates Platinum in just 8 months. Over decades, my family and I have been to many countries and continents, including dozens of trips to Africa, Asia, Mexico, etc., all from our US base and stayed in many hotels, including 5-star resorts, middle range that are well or poorly managed, all-inclusive, and some further down the scale. We love the sun and beach and have stayed in plenty of beachside hotels. If Grand Fiesta Americana is not the worst place we've ever stayed it is close. I almost don't know where to begin, so just to list a few aggravations and disappointments that you can expect: The concierge exists to hustle you into time share meetings offering to slash the cost of outside activities if you agree, and we had the same sales pitch from the front desk. The Italian restaurant is decent but the rest of the food, including the steak place, the Mexican place, the breakfast buffet is just awful. So bad that after watching my family push uneaten plates back yet another time, we started going out for meals -- at an all-inclusive resort. But it's not really all-inclusive because they charge a $30 per person entrance fee, so we paid $90 for a meal that we would have sent back if it cost half that price. Yes, we tried room service, which is advertised as 24-hours, but apparently that means it takes that long to get to your room. 90 minute wait at dinner time -- only to find out that they had run out of what we ordered, so...nothing. I didn't understand why there was a full kitchen in our room until we were at Wal Mart stocking ours as a defense. The facilities are equally awful. The pool water isn't refreshing and it isn't warm; it's hot. We spent 30 seconds in and never went back (and yes it is summer in Mexico, but we have stayed at dozens of hotels at the same time of year in hot places all over the world and the hotels managed to deal with this.) Ironically, the tiny hot tubs next to the pool don't work -- no jets, but at least nobody is ever in them, and only a few people in the pool. The beach is awful -- all rocks. The layout of the hotel means you have to call for a cart to go anywhere, more tips every day for the privilege of getting from the lobby to your room and back. The activities are limited and often not available in the evening for under 18, but that's okay because they stock the cables to attach your laptop to your TV--oh, wait a minute, they don't. I guess it's not a surprise then that it struck us the second day that guests just don't seem to be having much fun. There's not exactly a lot of giddy laughter echoing down the hallways or goofy smiles in the lobby. People are just...there. I have always considered a mark of a luxury customer experience that a company anticipates their customer. Easy to do in an all-inclusive family beach resort. It seems that Grand Fiesta anticipated every way they could let guests down and nailed them all. And on top of all this, it's not like it's a mystery how to plan and operate an all-inclusive family beach resort. Just stay at a Hyatt Ziva for the same price (they were being remodeled, which is why we ended up at Grand Fiesta). It's like a lower class amusement park: you want to ask the executive team whether they've ever heard of Disneyland, or bothered to check to see what it looks like when it's done well. If we hadn't paid for the week in advance, we would have been out the night of the first day we arrived. As it was, we were trapped, disappointed and aggravated constantly. I'm giving this one star vs. none because the staff is generally friendly although we didn't have anybody go out of there way to do anything. But decent, friendly folks who are bound tight by the limitations they serve under in their company. Just. Don't. Stay. Here. Just stay home, buy a heat lamp and stream yourself some Jimmy Buffet if there are no other options but this hotel.

Beautiful Cabo View / Beautiful Resort

Ronda E on Jul 19, 2024

Beautiful laid back resort. Many restaurants to choose from and you never really had to wait. This was a plus for us because we were a group of 12. The infinity pool over looking the ocean was absolutely amazing. While hanging out there we received the best service from Byan. Byan took great care of us and made our visit so enjoyable. We would definitely visit this resort again.

Could have been better.

Felicia B on Jul 19, 2024

This is not a golf resort. Do not go if this is your expectation. A shuttle is taken off site to a different resort. Communication between the two is poor. Other than that we had a good experience at the hotel. The staff were friendly. The rooms were clean and spacious.
