Awesome Staff!

Absolutely amazing experience! From the stunning views to the top-notch service, everything was perfect. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay unforgettable. Chloe, Alana, Michelle, Tony, Vale, and Bryan made the stay so fun, organizing awesome activities like volleyball in the pool and bingo. Can't wait to come back!

Wonderful Trip!

We had the best time! Our server Nico at the pool was fantastic and our Lifeguard Jesus made sure we felt welcomed and taken care of all week. He truly made the experience memorable and look forward to seeing both Nico and Jesus when we return to Palmar!

Juan Carlos and Manuel at the sports bar were amazing. They made the trip fun and very attentive. They make quality drinks and are very fun and interesting.

Worst Experience Ever

Though many staff are nice, the overall service at the resort was the worst I've experienced in my life, and others around us were constantly unhappy and complaining as well. The short version: constant waiting in line of more than an hour for food or check-in, staff allowed to call you names while simply standing at a hostess stand silently waiting to be seated. You won't get your money's worth out of all inclusive because you'll spend more time waiting than eating or drinking. The long version: We booked an all inclusive stay here with our toddler because we wanted something relaxing and easy. What we got was the absolute opposite. From the moment we arrived, waiting in line to start check-in took over an hour. In this time they don't so much as give you a place to grab a glass of water. When we finally got registered we still could not check-in (they are rigid about after 4 pm, even if your room is ready) so went to try to get some food. We were ignored at the first restaurant for a good 15 minutes before finally being acknowledged and told there would be a wait, so I walked over to another restaurant to see if they had space. While waiting for someone to talk to me there a waiter walked by and called me a derogatory word in Spanish, clearly assuming I don't speak Spanish, but I do. When I later mentioned this to the concierge I got a 9:30 pm phone call from the manager (waking my toddler) with a very half-hearted apology and nothing else. People put towels on pool chairs to claim them all day so there is nowhere to sit and the staff does nothing about it. They are incentivized to do nothing about it, because giving them an extra cash tip is the only way to get someone to go bring out a chair for you. We were told to arrive to the restaurant with the show, Terraza, at 6 or 6:30 pm in order to get a seat for the show. We arrived at 6 pm, waited in line for 40 minutes, only to then be told there would not be enough space for us. We walked to another restaurant, where we were then told there was a wait until 7:45. So almost 2 hours simply waiting to get some dinner, even after following the guidance of the hotel. If you have young kids, you know what a nightmare this is. And even if you don't, who wants to spend their time this way? We had hoped this would be a fun trip with our 2 year-old, but instead we spent the whole time feeling disrespected and waiting in long lines every day. Not what I wanted to spend my money and vacation time on at all.
