Honest experience

Villa Del Palmar at Cabo needs to do some serious training of their staff when it comes to customer service, from the minute we checked in, the front desk check in clerk exhibited rude, condescending, and dismissive behavior. It seemed like she just wanted to get people out of her way. Prior to our trip, we called and verified that we could have a 5th member of our family, a 5 year old, with no issues. They then proceeded to charge us an additional fee, as it exceeded room capacity, despite being told otherwise. When asked to speak to management, she looked annoyed and stated it would not change anything, "as they would just tell us the same thing she did" The room was equally disappointing, the stove would turn off and not heat, and took forever to cook the food, the room had a stuffy, mildew smell, and the bed often felt wet from the humidity. the AC would not work well, even after calling to get it checked out. In the middle of the night, when I went to use the bathroom a cockroach came running out, you can imagine the sleep knowing a critter was running around afterwards. My wife felt so uncomfortable. At night, when we heard there were events, we were told we could not enter as it was only for the people who bought into the all inclusive package. When we wanted to flag a worker to order food at the pool, they looked annoyed. As someone who has spent over 16 years in the hospitality industry, you can imagine the shock i felt at the service my family and I received. Even at the Starbucks, the clerk responded rudely when we showed up at night wanting cake. Saying “next time come when we are not close to closing” The good part of the trip were definitely Chloe and Valeria. They made blackjack a fun experience. Overall, for the cost of the trip, the experience and customer service could have been better. I do hope they take these reviews seriously, They unfortunately didn't put the city of Cabo as a welcoming city in my opinion.
Book somewhere else. Do not recommend.

Our experience at Villa Del Palmar in Cabo San Lucas was extremely disappointing from the moment we checked in until the day we left. We booked a specific room, but upon arrival we were told it was unavailable and were placed in a different room. To make matters worse, we were charged an additional $510 for our five-year-old child, which was never made clear during the booking process and felt completely unreasonable. We were traveling as a group of nine people, and every single one of us experienced the same poor treatment throughout our stay. Natalia, the employee who checked us in, was dismissive and unhelpful. When we asked to speak with a supervisor, she refused and insisted that the supervisor would "tell us the same thing." Denying guests the opportunity to speak with management is unacceptable. To make matters worse, our rooms smelled like mildew for our entire stay. The building is extremely outdated, with old, musty-smelling carpets, worn furnishings, and an overall appearance of being dirty and poorly maintained. For the amount of money charged to stay here, the condition of the property was unacceptable and far below expectations. At checkout, Brayan was equally rude while we reviewed our bill to ensure there were no incorrect charges. We noticed additional gratuity charges that did not match the written information we received at check-in. When we questioned the discrepancies, his response was simply that they had "not been accurately explained," offering no apology or effort to resolve our concerns. Unfortunately, poor customer service seemed to be the norm throughout the resort. From the waitstaff to the bartenders, most employees acted as though helping guests was an inconvenience. Hospitality should be a priority at a resort of this caliber, but that was certainly not our experience. The only bright spot during our stay was Chloe and Valeria, the entertainment staff running the blackjack activities. They were friendly, engaging, professional, and genuinely seemed to enjoy making guests feel welcome. They were the only employees who consistently provided excellent customer service. Sadly, because of the way our group was treated and the poor condition of the property, we will not be returning. We will also be canceling our future reservations and advising our friends, family, and anyone else considering this resort to stay elsewhere. Villa Del Palmar is not the luxury resort it advertises itself to be. There are far better options in Cabo that value their guests, maintain their facilities, and provide the level of service you would expect for the price.
Great stay in Cabo

This resort has a great location along the main beach in Cabo. Rooms were spacious and well equipped and all rooms seemed to have a great view. My family enjoyed the all inclusive option. Breakfast was the only time that there were longer waits. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and offered something for everyone. Lunch options included Italian, sushi, and Mexican or American fare by the pool. Service was always excellent. It was a great value and there were even snacks and drinks in the room upon arrival. We also enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding a few resorts down. The two issues that could use improvement are the lack of chairs by the pool (which were grabbed by the early birds) and the availability of reservations at the farm to table restaurant. We got one the final night at 9 pm. Otherwise resort entertainment was fun for those wanting to stay and relax. Taxis were easy to Cabo San Lucas for boat excursions and we enjoyed a day trip to San Jose. I would definitely return.
Great stay!

This hotel was very comfortable, the staff was nice, the pools were great and the location was perfect! We were able to cook meals in our ktichen which was convenient. Also, the bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The only service issue we had was that we asked for a new toaster (ours only toasted on one side) and they didn't bring one. But besides that we had very friendly and helpful service. It was also nice that they had a convenient store on the property. They also had a doctor's office if you ever needed that and they had a well-equipped gym.

I went for my first time as a guest with Sofie Romero & she is an Elite member. there were 12 total in our party. Seeing how she was treated was pretty awesome, she got the royal treatment everyday with the softer bigger grey towels to the special treats in the room and how the maid would pull down the bed!Our amazing maid was Emilia Omalma or Okalma? but she did a great job with the room! Everyday we were at the resort we would be at the pool if not all day but everyday. 5 of the 6 days were there Esteban was our waiter! He was fantastic to put it lightly. He hustled his ass off and never got an order wrong! I always gave him extra tip as he deserved it working so hard in that heaAlllll Dayt! Thank you for making my/ our stay the best! I hope to be back!!
