The rooms were not clean, no AC in the room and took a lot to get move to another Roman. Outside breathtaking views and the pools very good. The food they need to make more variety and not only the same food in the two restaurants they no need reservations

Nice view

Has a very nice view but could use some improvements around the pool areas and food at the buffet could have more options with more traditional food, but staff service was great very polite and attentive.

one night stay

too expensive for one night and not able to experience the full resort. turned off air conditioning when bar at lobby opened and wasn’t able to drink comfortably to stay longer at lobby had to go to room and drink then come down for more drinks.

Service, service, service!!

First and foremost, I have stayed at Barceló Riviera Maya several times. First time at the Manzanillo property. What a downgrade in service and attention. Barceló Karmina management needs to manage their team in every aspect of service especially in restaurants and waiting staff. Restaurant dress codes are not clear. Being pandemic times and restrictions applied due to Covid is understandable. The restaurants at Barceló Karmina have restrictions. Totally understandable but since when has a buffet had restrictions on men’s dress attire. Please hold on a minute for my biggest rant, service!!! The service from the wait staff to the wait staff at the pools to hosts at buffets. Let me say, when you approach a bar and get turned away because your don’t have a face mask is totally understandable but when a waiter is asked to take your order to you because of the previously mentioned reason and he literally thinks about it in front of you that’s completely unacceptable. That is my not good customer service. This property has to be revised by management no matter if it’s Pandemic or not. My experience at Riviera Maya 3 times was nowhere close to this. I admit, 1/5 of the wait staff members were great service wise.

Amazing experience.Daniel Hernandez best Pool waiter.

We decided to take a family to this hotel.The view is amazing but everything is great.We had a great experience our pool waiter Daniel Hernandez made our experience much better.We went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable.Very attentive and nice to everyone.Felipe from reception also made our check in and check out easier.Erika made our reservation way easier.Daniel Hernandez really deserve a raise.
