Best trip every in negril jamaica i did a class with jovanne it was relaxing for all guests as I was observing them throughout the class,the class was somewhat interesting with different poses and new things i have learned i recommend his class and I'll be back soon .

Most amazing vacation ever!

We have just returned from a glorious week at the Grand Lido Negril and it was everything we had hoped for, and more! From the ease of check in to the delicious food and the most amazing staff, our trip was exceptional!! I must give a huge thank you to our butler's, Leshan and Condley, who were extremely attentive and responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed and MORE! They made sure our room was stocked daily with our favorite beverages, made dinner reservations for us each evening, and even took the time to decorate our room so sweetly for our 30th wedding anniversary! I will miss the sweet hugs from Leshan who made certain to see us before we departed to make sure we had a wonderful time! We enjoyed the pool at GLN each day, starting down by the beach in the morning as the sun rises above the building around 8:00 AM. We were greeted with a special morning cocktails from Peaches (most amazing bartender EVER!) each day, even before the bar opened. We would progress up towards the pool by mid-morning to be greeted by Captain Kirk! What an amazing young man! He made certain we had fresh pool towels each day, delivered food and drinks around the clock, and has the most affectionate personality! He truly enjoys his job and loves the take care of his guests. He is definitely a one-in-a-million!! As the day went on, we enjoyed the afternoon pool festivities led by Simone from the Vibe Team! What an extraordinary individual! She was ON IT every day! We played trivia and other games each afternoon and it got people together in the pool to socialize and mingle! We met some of the most loveliest people on our vacation! She remembers everyone's names and has a very special way of interacting with the guests. It's like we have been friends for years! What a treat you have with her! The food at GLN was over the top! We dined in the buffet each morning where we could have something different each day with their expansive menu! We enjoyed lunch at the GLN poolside grill each day and wow, it was outstanding! Dagrii can certainly work the grill! Shrimp, jerk chicken, steak, patties, etc. You name it, you did not go hungry! We dined at the various restaurants each evening and enjoyed cocktails at Mix as well! Dorado and Zen were our favorites, but we loved each meal tremendously! We cannot wait to visit GLN again next year with our new friends we met from Canada, Texas and Wisconsin!!! Kudos to the entire staff at GLN! You made our trip JAMAIZING!!!! See you next year!!

Jamaica was the best trip ever and Jovie the fitness instructors was good and the classes was good and the facilities was excellent as well the food was excellent as welll I met some fun staffs Henrico and star fire and the spa is beautiful and it's a place to go.

I did aqua fit at the pool with jovie and it was good I thank him fir such a great workout class and I enjoyed the vibe team as well with the show and games as well star fire and Enrico was great at the pool I love the drunk and food as well I will be back soon ?? .

Amazing staff!!!

We returned to the Grand Lido again this week, after being there again, last year, we thought we would update the review in here now that the resort is no longer a blue diamond resort, but under the management of Marriott. We, also are not friends of the gym staff, did not visit the gym and did not stay at the Royalton or Hideaway??. The biggest asset of this resort is their staff. Excellent, perfunctory and personal… The best again that we have ever experienced at any resort. Simone and Kirk around the pool, Kimberly at the front desk, and our requested butlers Ricardo and Condley again went far above and beyond for us celebrating our anniversary! Mikhail, Brent and the staff at the sports bar and the Hideaway pool bar were amazing. This time of the year was great for lobster there. The reggae bar down by the pool had lobster tails for lunch every day ! We paired them with lamb chops, and we were completely spoiled! The Dorado, which used to be a steakhouse is now a seafood grill. they do offer lamb chops, and chateaubriand as well. We do miss the old Dorado as it seemed like a step down from what that restaurant was. It, along with the armadillo grill, which are indoor seating were both extremely hot and humid to sit for dinner. No A/C. That coupled with the dress code the resort requires and enforces…really stinks. We also had issues with the air conditioning in our room as the drain pan backed up and water was leaking from the ceiling… given the state of the drywall on the ceiling, it seemed like a recurring problem, but the leak was promptly addressed. The buffet was very good, we did breakfast in there a couple days.. Great selection! The Oceanpoint was our chosen place for breakfast and dinner. The views and fabulous service were fantastic! Surf and turf with lobster tails ..Deliciously prepared! There were a lot of mosquitoes or sand flies that liked to feast on our ankles. Don’t forget to bring bug spray! The gift shop at this place is utterly ridiculous! A can of off insect repellent set us back $23… and they wanted an additional dollar to put it in a bag. Anything in that store can be found much more reasonable either online or if you wish to purchase coffee, tshirts etc just east of the resort on the beach. That store is a complete joke unfortunately. We will be back very soon . We are hoping that Marriott can focus on the customer experience, rather than their shareholders.
