We broke our rule about never travelling to the same foreign destination twice, and went back to Couples Negril this year because we love it there so much and splurged for our 40th anniversary! 23travel glitches that were to do with the airline and not the resort - we were held up standing outside the entrance to the p lane for half hour while they tried to unfreeze pipes in the washroom! And upon arrival at Montego Bay airport, we were not greeted by a Club Mobay rep (a service we had paid for both ways) and my luggage was temporarily lost...we eventually found it at a different belt off a different flight! Once all that was straightened out, we enjoyed Club Mobay there for a drink and lunch before the bus took us to our resort. We did get the top of the line ground floor Beachfront suite we requested, but the only location we didn't want -directly beside the nude beach. We were moved 2 days later to the 5 block, closest to the water sports and diving pool. We loved this room! It was reverse plan from the 1 block we had last year, but so spacious and clean and very private. We only lounged at the beach and did not use the pool. There was no need for excursions as we'd been there before, but took in the glass bottom boat tour the hotel provides at n/c and were glad we did, as these guides were more talkative and showed us a lot sea life and coral than in our prior year's excursion. Thanks Nikkoi and Cpt. Nemo! We recognized Dean, a manager at the main restaurant, and a few other staff who we also recognized from last year. The food was mostly great, only one night did they run out of one of the chocolate desserts before we could get to it at the buffet, but otherwise top notch meals. One night we had to book a "shared" table because all the smaller tables were booked, but that night ended up being the most fun, meeting and sharing travel stories with a bunch of other couples. We enjoyed lobster again at no additional cost, before the season ended March 31. The one night we took in some of the entertainment after dinner, the singer was very good. I recommend this resort wholeheartedly.

Anyone who has ever visited Couples will understand why this was our 27th visit and our next is already booked for February. This resort just gets better with each passing year. So why do we keep returning? In no particular order, the beach and sea in Bloody Bay (where the hotel is located) cannot be beaten. Soft white sand and crystal clear warm water, and it's just a minute from your room. The au-naturel part of the beach has everything from a pop-up kitchen offering hot snack meals to a wonderful bar, and you meet the nicest people who want nothing more than an all over tan. The restaurants are all wonderful, and offer something different, and if you find it to warm to eat outside then both the Otaheite and Lychee are fully air-conditioned and if you have food allergies the chefs will come to your table and run through the options they can prepare for you. The bedrooms are wonderful and the large beds you just sink into. But best of all is the Padi dive shop with the wonderful Richard, Sugar, Byron and Courtney who offer a best in class and benchmark level of tuition and customer service. It's a credit to GM Caroline that if anything she has improved on the whole Couples experience after replacing Karen who moved to swept away, who herself also ran a superb operation. Couples is our second home and if you want I laid back chilled out holiday with first class experience then like us, book it now!

Our trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. Getting there was easy, with a smooth connection through Panama. Once we arrived, Couples Negril turned out to be exactly the kind of resort we love: tropical, beachfront, spotless, and surrounded by crystal-clear water. We especially appreciated the refillable water bottles available throughout the resort—it was such a thoughtful and eco-friendly touch that kept us hydrated all day. The resort offers several restaurants, including both buffet and à la carte options, and every meal we had was delicious. There was plenty of variety, and the quality of the food exceeded our expectations. The beach is stunning, with calm, clear turquoise water that's perfect for swimming and relaxing. The warm sunshine every day made the experience even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a peaceful Caribbean getaway with beautiful scenery, excellent food, and outstanding hospitality, Couples Negril is a fantastic choice. We love discovering destinations like this and would happily return!

Visited from the UK, booked an AI package with TUI. Hotel was lovely, and most staff were friendly and helpful. We were initially put in a ground floor room but after sleeping on it and recovering from the journey and time difference, we asked to be moved to a higher floor as the ground floor rooms lack privacy. This was accommodated with no bother and our 2nd room was much better with a private balcony. Service across the resort was great, we particularly appreciated Jevaine at the pool bar who brought us our drinks every morning! No bother getting a sunbed by the pool although not every bed has an umbrella. The beach is yards away and the sea was warm and calm. We were not fans of the food, we preferred the cold options at the buffet breakfast and the restaurants cater for the American market. We dined at the Ophitete restaurant twice, the food and service were good, but we've eaten better in UK restaurants. The dress code for men was a bit unnecessary, long trousers and closed shoes even though your legs are hidden under the tablecloth....it was a bit style over substance for us. We were also disappointed that the advertised Thursday night beach dinners didn't happen for two Thursdays we were there. We were hoping for authentic Jamaican BBQs on the beach. We ate out off resort a couple of nights, Ivans being a particular highlight, absolutely stunning! Entertainment was low key and it was quiet in the evening. Rooms and bed were comfortable, cleaned daily and the mini bar was replenished to order each day, including wine and spirits. The catamaran trip was good fun, although it was under motor not sailing, and we also enjoyed the hobie cats and the kayaks. Jamaica is a wonderful island the couples negril is a great choice for a quiet relaxing break if you're not too fussed about authentic food.

Another lovely stay albeit a last minute booking it was an excellent choice. Everything as imagined, great service. Looking forward to returning in February.
