Lovely atmosphere. Lots of amenities.

I was blown away by the atmosphere. The lighted palm trees in the lobby and all the conversation nooks were fun. I was traveling for a conference held at the hotel and the conference facilities were great. The catering services for the ballroom were second to none. I felt like I was eating like royalty. I chose to do my walking in the lobby as I loved the atmosphere and it was very peaceful at 5am. The rooms were comfortable, however the bed was a bit firm to my taste. There were limited TV options, instead you had to link your own apps to the TV. My roomate didn't have any streaming services, so when I wasn't in the room she was stuck watching local channel or the hotel channel, which was very relaxing and beautiful, but not like having access to HBO. The lobby level jacuzzi was very heavily chlorinated. The fire pits were also not free and we couldn't figure out how to reserve one. There was a QR code but it just asked for your confirmation number, luckily a couple left complaining about how it was a rip off and told us to take over theirs. The only snafu was a water spilled water when grabbing plates onto a colleagues laptop. The hotel offered shuttle service and had a kids area with books and activities by the shuttle waiting area. If I were to come with my kids that would be helpful as we wait for our ride to Disneyland. The shuttle also had a $7 fee. I explored the 3rd floor sports courts and was impressed with that area off the south tower. Once management was involved the issue was resolved and the colleague was provided a tray of dry rice and the laptop did recover after 24 hours in rice.
A great hotel all-around

Moldy Pillow, Stinky Room
Yeng X on Mar 25, 2026
First room had black mold growing on the pillow, I called following morning because it was 2am when I saw that, they switched my room, the new room smell pretty bad from body odor, thought it would go away with the AC on but still smelled, didn't want to complain anymore in fear or some sort of poor service retaliation, just stayed in that room and delt with it, better than mold i guess.
Excellent Conference Hotel with Amenities for Guests of All Ages
Worldbutterfly (Berkeley, California) on Mar 22, 2026
This was a welcoming conference hotel with roomy facilities and unexpected amenities. The high rating is for the ease of checking in and the friendly, accommodating staff, plus the Starbucks and--better yet-- gelato shop in the lobby. While many families in the hotel are there to go to Disney, it didn't feel overly crazy or noisy, especially in rooms facing away from the lobby atrium. I requested a quiet room, which was clean and, indeed quiet, with a working mini-fridge and coffeemaker. In-room microwaves are available upon request. There is a Target with a grocery store and lots of fast casual and fast food nearby. The M-F Happy Hour at Nova Kitchen & Bar, an adjacent higher-end Japanese restaurant is an excellent value. Highly recommended for those in the area, even if you're not going to Disney.
Better than expected

Its a really nice hotel. Nice landscaping. If you are coming with children, they have a 3rd floor with a pool, basketball court, tennis courts, pickleball court, etc ... It's great to spend the entire night hanging out with friends and kids having fun. Valet folks are very kind and responsive.
