A very nice atmosphere here thanks

Came to Orlando end of Aug/beg of Sept for an 8-day vacation to Universals parks. I've never stayed on site with Universal before, but I was hoping not to rent a car, so wanted to be able to use their free busses to the parks. In doing some research into which hotel to pick, we went with Cabana Bay because everyone says its well loved by families and kids. I was quite pleased with our choice. We were on floor 2 of building 6 Americana. The lazy river pool was right outside our building, which was nice. The walk to the main food court/front desk building wasn't bad. Our 2-bed queen room was comfortable, we had no noise issues. Quite appreciated that maid service came by every day of our trip - it was nice to come back after a day in the parks to beds made and trash emptied. My only real room complaint for the room is the lack of microwave....we had leftover pizza in our little fridge that we were just too lazy one night to take back over to the cafeteria to microwave so we had cold pizza for dinner - not a favorite. Hotel amenities are pretty nice- kiddo enjoyed the waterslide, we both loved the lazy river (brought our own tubes though as I heard theirs are over priced) - I spent a lot of the time my little one was swimming reading on a lounge chair. It is especially cool that the pool stays open late so we were able to go for a quick swim after the parks closed and we had come back to the hotel for the night. Buses to the parks were great - we never waited more than 15-20 mins. Seemed like the buses to Epic were less frequent - but not too bad. I loved that their was an ample gift shop on site - my kiddo even picked out her birthday present there finding a very nice carry-on Harry Potter themed luggage. My least favorite part is the food at the cafeteria though - we did two breakfasts there, which were fine, but the dinner food was gross and extremely overpriced. And then - I dont understand why because it really seems like the fine print says they should - but the hotel cafe doesn't do the 10% card holder discount, which I find almost offensive. As if they on-site hotels dining options aren't part of Universal? Really think Universal needs to re-think that.... But all in all, I would stay again - I would just eat anything other than breakfast off-site.

Excellent experience we was celebrating a birthday party with the family. This hotel is amazing lots of things to do. I interact with associate Miguel chavez very helpful always asking if i need anything how he could help to make the stay better for the whole family. Great associates i got the pleasure to meet silvia room service manager asking if the room was clean if we need anything 5 star service.

Great experience i love this hotel we stayed here before and I loved it great clean rooms service are amazing as always very warm employees always are willing to help with any needs you will require. I interact with associate miguel chavez very helpful worker and nice understanding my needs. Manager of room service silvia great associate as well was checking if the room was clean in I need anything above and beyond employees.

We had a wonderful stay at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort. The resort was clean, comfortable, and very family-friendly. My kids loved the atmosphere and amenities, and we had a great experience overall. A special thank you to Sylvia Regina Ferreira Sardinha, the Housekeeping Manager. She was extremely kind, professional, and helpful. She went above and beyond for our family and even personally helped clean and prepare our room herself. She also gave us ice cream vouchers, which made my kids so happy and excited. Her kindness and personal attention truly made our stay extra special.
