The hotel looks nice from outside, but inside it is a bit dated. The room to be honest smelled a bit musty when we opened the door, so we cracked the window open just the 5 inches allowed by the window lock to change the air inside. We had a 2 queens bedroom so the 4 of us had enough room. Overall ok for one night and for the points I planned to spend. Fun-not-so-fun story here, while we were entering from the back door after checking in and leaving the car parked, a lady came out half rushing saying there were bugs in her room. I asked bedbugs and she said yes but maybe she meant other bugs as she was several feet away when I asked? Anyways we did not find any bug at all in our room. Our night was quiet, but in the morning we could hear race cars in the nearby racetrack, vroom vroom, but it wasn't an issue for us, just a fun thing to note.

The night staff was very rude - I was asked continuously why was I there ( female) - and I responded in a courteous manner that I was passing through Daytona- then the Manager started and asked the question again and I replied again that I am passing through. Then the Manager asked if I was a Local - I replied No, I am from Jax, FL. The questions still didn't stop - he wanted to know why I was there - I stated that I was traveling to Fort Lauderdale - then it became another question - why? I stated I have a dental appointment, then he replied, That is pretty far for a dental appointment. Then the manager shared that he was from North Miami Beach, and he used to travel to Tampa for a Haircut, and he dated the hairstylist's daughter. It's after 10 pm, and the questions were unsettling and made me feel unsafe - it made me feel like they did not want me there as a customer. I am a female and I traveled with my young daughter. Placed on the First floor directly beside the exit door - left at 2 am due to travel to South Florida

The stay was great! Staff were very nice, rooms clean and quiet. I would have given a 5 star, except this morning at 3:45am, when an airport shuttle was supposed to be waiting for me, there was none! I couldn’t find a staff person for nothing!! I yelled, knocked on the manager door, went in and out the front door. No one was around. I had to last minute Uber or I would have missed my flight. I was assured by three different staff members that this was available and I was on the list.

Everyone here is so very kind and caring. Kimbarlee is the most amazing, she always made sure I had enough coffee. She is so compassionate. I have no complaints. Thank you for being so kind. Very clean. Always there when you need anything at all.
