Wonderful stay

Voyager394628 on Apr 20, 2026

We had a great experience here! Everyone was kind and helpful. The staff were incredible! The amenities were clean and the atmosphere was wonderful. Ashley O at the Palmas restaurant in the hotel was so considerate and thoughtful in all her encounters with us. Bethany was the bartender but also took our order and was friendly and so good with my kids. We are grateful to Ashley and Bethany for such a high level of service. Overall, the Coronado is a must stay for our family!

Disney’s Spanish Themed Heaven!

Jack H (Paignton, United Kingdom) on Apr 15, 2026

I absolutely loved this hotel! The room was still spacious for the smallest size, 2 double beds and a nice bathroom for a family of three was perfect. We stayed in casita 5, and would recommend staying here as it has its own bus stop for the bus service to the Disney parks, a quick walk to the lake, and in a quiet, peaceful area of the hotel. We also ate at a few of the restaurants, the restaurant at the top of the gran Destino tower is Michelin recommended and I recommend it too! Had a lovely piece of salmon and the atmosphere fit the theme of the hotel. The other restaurant we tried was the one on the lake, which was also lovely, offering great views of the lake (seeing as you are in the middle of it) and the rest of the hotel. Unfortunately, we did not get a chance to explore the dig site pool at all, so I won’t comment on it. Still an amazing hotel nonetheless, and no resort fees! Great hotel if you want to stay on Disney site, but aren’t a big fan of Disney, in your face themeing.

Disney but chic

Bethan G (United Kingdom) on Apr 12, 2026

Stunningly modern resort, very clean and fabulous cast members. Chic decor with that Disney touch but can feel a bit corporate. The pool is amazing and there is great options at the quick service.

Felt Overlooked and Unwelcome

Gaby S on Apr 03, 2026

We checked in on 04/01 with a planned check-out on 04/03, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from the very beginning. At check-in, we were told our reservation was for two people instead of four, despite having confirmation showing otherwise. Fixing this took about an hour. After a 13-hour drive, with my daughter sick and lying on the lobby couch with a fever, this delay was incredibly frustrating. We explained that we didn’t mind getting the room even if it wasn’t fully ready—we just needed a place to rest—but it still took a long time to resolve. When we were finally given a room, it was located in Casita 3 on the 4th floor, the farthest building from the parking lot. The elevators were at the opposite end from our room, which made it extremely inconvenient, especially with luggage and a sick child. Using the stairs wasn’t an option for us. Once inside, the room was very small—so much so that we could barely fit our luggage comfortably. At that point, the “Disney experience” we were hoping for had turned into frustration and disappointment. We felt overlooked and unimportant as guests. Because of this, we decided to check out early after just one night and moved to another (non-Disney) hotel, where we had a significantly better experience and felt much more welcomed. This was especially upsetting because we’ve been coming to Disney with our daughters since they were little. Sadly, this experience has made us question whether we want to return. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this experience felt important to share.

Nice for a non park day or willing to take buses to the parks - can't beat the price

auggie_tech1 (Palm Harbor, Florida) on Mar 25, 2026

We added a night on the front end to our Disney package - and this was the first night - so we just picked one of the most reasonable rooms that were available and that we hadn't stayed at in the past. We were in the standard villas area - which was fine - was the Ranchos - first floor. Was able to park our car right in front of the room - which was super helpful. Room was fine and resort had all you could need. Not sure I'd stay again due to the lack of transportation options to the park - only have buses. But, for the price and niceness I can see why many do stay here. It is also very quiet and good value.
