Out of all the Loews hotels at universal this is worst . Small rooms and then walls . Every time I’ve stayed here something is not working or missing. Thought if I stayed at club level it would be better but it’s not. Housekeeping is loud and knocking on doors at 7:30 ( not my door since I had a tag ) but the rooms around me. So loud that it woke me. If it didn’t come with express passes I wouldn’t stay here since the rooms are very expensive with a low comfort level.
Mixed feelings given the price

We booked this resort due to the proximity to the parks and the pass upgrades. I have mixed feelings - good and bad.
Bad: Upon arrival at 1am in the morning I was told there was self parking available by the valet. Let me just say there wasn’t. I wasted over 30 minutes driving around for a space to then give my car to the valet. Cars were double parked in areas with no space. Our checkin experience was ok. It just took a long time. They were able to accommodate my request of a room with a bath tub.
Bad: The ticket machine in the lobby doesn’t work well. It took 4 attempts to get our tickets due to the screen keyboard having issues.
Meh: Our room is showing some wear. Ripped bedding. A broken coffee maker that was left with a mess of coffee grounds. (They replaced it at our request.) The hair dryer is top quality and salon professional grade.
Good: We accidentally cancelled our dinner plans due to poor UX experience in the universal app. They text you about your reservation. I thought it said 1 to confirm but it was 1 to cancel. Then we couldn’t get back the dinner reservation that we made months ago for a place in the park. The hotel was able to accommodate us at the restaurant in the lobby called Orchid Lounge. Reservations available via resy app. The service was immediate and on point. Food was delicious. We all had sushi.
The quick food mart has a decent selection for breakfast but go early. Once the hot food is gone. It’s gone.
The pool is heated. Hot tub always has people in it.
I have a medical condition that requires injections and the hotel was able to provide a sharps container. Fridges are in the rooms.
Bad: no loyalty program

This hotel was very modern, clean and a great location. Not only could you get a short boat ride to the parks but walking there took only 10 minutes. The reception and concierge were extremely friendly and helpful. The pool was lovely and we will be back.

We recently stayed at Loews Royal Pacific on our most recent visit to Universal and had a amazing stay! The check-in process was seamless, and they upgraded us to a pool view room which we loved. The hotel itself is beautiful and we loved walking around the fountain area. The pool is heated and my kids enjoyed it for hours even though it was cooler outside. It was not busy at all and it was easy to find seats near the pool. Drinks by the pool were great as well.
Our room was nothing short of luxurious. Super comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom.
We loved taking the boats to city walk and the park and the universal express passes and early entry are hard to beat. We had a fabulous time and would love to stay here again!

Very comfy beds and a quick walk to Universal. We got Unlimited Express passes with our booking and honestly, I wouldn't do Universal without it. Lots of restaurants nearby and a quick walk by the water to access or there is a ferry too. Shop has a great selection of snacks and food.
