Bus transportation made this (compared to staying off site)

Claire R on Jun 15, 2026

Having been to Florida 20 times or so, this was our first time staying on resort. We chose it due to taking our 4 year old and having the flexibility of the transportation and BOY, was that the winning thing for these resorts. It was so easy. And this was highlighted on our last day when we took the car to the Magic Kingdom, and that walk, security, monorail or boat and back! Nope. Anyway, you can get your room details via the app and avoid checking in. We did as we wanted room cards, we also got a birthday badge for our little boy. The room was Building 10 in the Toy Story area and I think by far, out of all the all stars location, this is the best for theming! The main bit was always full of families taking photos. The room itself was facing away from the main area, so was nice and quiet, and we were top floor too. Be aware that the Murphy bed slams down if you don’t lower it carefully. Once that’s down, there’s not a lot of room to move, especially with a pram unless it’s folded or left outside. The fridge in our room kept milk cold enough. The TV broke once and maintenance came out and fixed it within the hour. There wasn’t enough storage for all of our clothes (February, so we packed and needed all seasons for clothing!) The food court was fine, regular type food but the portions were quite big. The hot dog meal I could have split. The resort mug is worth getting, we used it to fill up thermos flasks for the parks to start us off with, or getting hot water for the room. We had issues getting a card to use in the arcade on the last day, but that’s alright. The pool was good fun, and plenty of activities by the staff. But the ultimate game changer for us, and what has made us book to go back next year is the transportation system. Buses every 15 minutes across the resort, saves hiring a car, paying $35 a day in parking fees, etc. so handy. Made it easier doing half days and you don’t feel guilty leaving after a few rides if you don’t pay for parking!! Looking forward to going back next year, hopefully the weather will be a bit warmer in April vs Feb! ?? Whilst the kids are young, and if you can afford it, stay on site!!

Do not book or use the meal plan.

Natalie M (United Kingdom) on Jun 09, 2026

Awful! Meal plan was a con and adult meals weren’t given on the card, very limited choices, same everyday and all unhealthy for kids. No cleaning in rooms even with nappies, had to empty own bin daily. Fridge broken, when I asked a cleaner to clean he made me carry my own bin to his cart. No cleaning even towels or bedding or coffee despite asking reps and reception. Disney passes did not work and when you pulled the kids bed down there was no space at all in the room. Awful experience and I usually love Orlando. I was told I this experience (by staff) because I came at a time that isn’t for non-American tourists I wish I had been told this when I booked. Had to purchase own toilet roll and towels. Really dirty. Some staff were lovely and tried to help but I would not recommend especially ially if you are travelling with children that have additional needs.

Never again!!!!!

Not impressed by this hotel. Wanted to be. Thought surely I would be, paying to stay on property. The Disney Magic, right? No. The rooms are dated and grimy. You’ll get housekeeping every other day. And then when they do come to service the room, they’ll do the bare minimum. Had gotten extra towels the night before and they left them piled on a chair instead of just resetting the room. Didn’t take any of the trash from counters (there wasn’t a lot but it was visible from where the coffee area is). Didn’t empty the ice bucket or give us a new liner. Didn’t wipe surfaces. Left two washcloths instead of 3 even though we asked for more. The pool area is near the smoking area. Disney, make that make sense. No I don’t want to smell smoke with my kids at the pool. Also present were the smells of weed. Cool cool. The rooms are old. Grimy. Desperately need the refurbished that’s coming. The AC puts out water. But it’s right next to the shelf over the fridge so everything that’s on it gets wet. Water pooling under the fridge. Hair everywhere and not the same color as ours. The AC turns off all day while you’re gone. So when you get back to the room at 11pm, maybe your temp will be 76 like ours and take hours to cool off. The shower wasn’t cleaned while we were there. I would literally never stay here again. The only upside is that you get early entry for staying on property. Stay anywhere else.

V poor customer service

DerbyTrigger (Derby) on May 27, 2026

We were referred to the customer service team managers after a terrible experience trying to use the Disney dining plan quick service at the Polynesian resort. In short we were turned away in our vehicle from parking? Due to local restrictions?? None of this was anywhere on the plans or APS before travelling, by a very rude security guard. Trying to explain this to prevent others from the same issue and the embarrassment of being turned away in a car having travelled for food (nothing else) the staff were non understanding and were not interested. Despite always ending with verbal and e mail updates of have a “magical day” customer service is terrible. Is Disney too big for the small people to be listened to?? It seems that way.
