Great stay

Ideal for extended families! We stayed with our children and grandchildren- while they visited the parks we were able to relax in the comfortable ( without being pretentious) room and chill at the pool. All the staff were sociable and friendly. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again - visited other Disney hotels but felt they weren’t as child friendly! We all loved it from the 2 year old to the 62 year olds.
Great family hotel

This was our first time staying at All-Stars. I went with Movies for the theming and the lower cost. We had a preferred room and got the Dalmations building 1 which was a great spot. We were a very close walk to the parking lot, lobby, restaurant, bus stop and pool. We never got a chance to use the pool, but it looked very nice. The room was a bit small, but we had space for everything. The drink cooler was cool, but never quite cold enough. If you have milk or something you need cold I would suggest bringing your own cooler and just keep filling it with ice (there was an ice machine by the elevator). The beds were comfy and we were lucky to have quiet neighbors. There was a nice big TV and you could connect your Disney + to it. The housekeepers would come every other day and do a great job. The food court was handy, but a bit of a pain since different foods were at different stations you would sometimes have to wait in several lines, meanwhile the food on your tray was getting cold. The easiest thing we found was to just mobile order a pizza while on the bus on the way back and pick up to eat in the room. We had breakfast there one day and it was not as chaotic as dinner time. The little store was nice to have as well. They have fun Disney merch as well as food. The only way to the parks is by bus so the lines to get on them were sometimes long. If we couldn't get on one, the next one was usually about 10 minutes behind so the waits weren't too bad. I would stay here again. It is a great family-friendly hotel. Also, the lobby smells great!
Thin walls, Dirty Floors not so magical stay

Recently just returned from a 2 week stay at All Star Movies. Disney honoured our ground floor room request as we had a mobility scooter we were allocated Love Bug facing the car park. Room is an average size however is quite cramped if you have the second pull bed down. Bathroom amenities were not full some were empty and were not replaced during our whole stay even after requesting. Rooms are cleaned every other day however we found that room was not being cleaned until 3/4pm each time and one of the cleaning days was also completely missed even though we were tipping $10 for each clean!! The floors are absolutely filthy and are never mopped, we were instantly taking our shoes off when entering however the entire floors were very dirty which soiled our socks and even left marks all in the bath tub! The walls are very thin we could hear peoples conversations as well as people using the toilet and some families had no respect by slamming doors and dragging chairs across the floors at midnight into early hours. The positives were free bus services, free parking at the parks and comfy-ish beds, food court had an average selection however easy to order through DoorDash or nip to McDonald’s at the end of the road. Overall we will not be returning to All Star Resorts this was our first time staying on site and definitely our last time.
Excellent Budget Onsite Disney Hotel

My wife, 2.5 year old, and I loved our stay at Disneys All-Start Movies Resort. It is conveniently located ~10-15 minutes away from the Disney parks. Even though you get free standard parking at Disney parks, I highly recommend utilizing the bus as they drop you off right in front of the gate, skipping the monorail and additional checkpoints. The rooms were very basic - one queen bed and one murphy bed. Don't let this deceive you though as there are many perks the hotel offers such as bed bumpers, microwave, and a mini fridge. Given most of the time we spent at the park, we only really needed a place to relax mid-day and at night. Aside from the proximity to the park, the hotel has a large swimming pool, playground, movie section, food court, and bar. We really enjoyed the family friendly atmosphere and our toddler had a blast. We would definitely stay here again given the overall value of the place.
Lacking Stars - Movie Resort

It's always great to be on property for the Disney transportation system. The frequency was well posted / updated. One day at EPCOT the central transportation noticed a large group going back to ASM and sent an extra bus for our traffic, which was great. I was disappointed with the room. The complex of Movies / Music / Sports is so detailed, well decorated, great layouts with themes but the inside of the room didn't match a theme (which I guess is fine but compared to Disney hyping up room decor for staying on property it fell flat). Generic pics of Huey, Dewey, and Louie were above one bed and then Minnie and Mickey above the other; the room was in the Herbie Love Bug area. For a motel style Disney on property, I'm sure it was great. The room I was in was on the ground floor, and again motel style, but the amount of bugs in the room was a lot. Previous bugs that had been squashed, were still squashed around upon arrival. Rooms are serviced every other day. The food court is great in variety but very small compared to number of people staying there (especially when large groups of schools / groups would come in together to eat). The other fun perk of Disney are the Sea Salt line of bathroom amenities; like I never pack my own knowing it'll be in the room. They were all empty or the pumps didn't work. When I notified the Disney help line, they sent someone immediately to fill the empty amenities but did not fix the ones that were broken (soap & conditioner) - this was mentioned on the phone when called for assistance. The room I was in also stated the thermostat was at 68 but there's no way. The air did not run and it was many a sweaty night. Other people in the party I was with said their rooms were very cold. I know in Florida humidity is a staple to life but that room was rough / constantly humid. Although there were tons of student groups there - the noise level was as expected and quiet hours were well maintained. Overall, if you're looking for a budget stay (because we're not going to Disney to be in a hotel room anyway) then check it out. It could've just been a bad luck of the draw for the room I was in. I will not go back to any All-Star resort and will choose a different resort on property for future stays.
