It was all right. PROS We easily got on boats to travel where we wanted The setting is lovely, even the busy pool has a secluded feel to it. Pool feels like a mini Stormalong Bay Easy access to food and a nice, outdoor eating area Main area is small but has a cute shopping option and check in area had chess and a lounge area for adults and kids I think the main draw here would be the water features (pools, river, boats) CONS Our room overlooked a quiet pool at the very back of the resort , this meant that we had to take the bus loop , no matter what , since walking would have taken us half an hour to get to the front. Because it was the very back of the resort people would stay at the pool very late at night being loud. For whatever reason, maybe because we were right over the pool, our room reeked of chlorine, like the cleaners have maybe spilled bleach or chlorine or something. The smell was extremely pervasive throughout the stay. I maybe should have requested a new room due to this awful odor.
Beautiful and spacious resort

This is a lovely and spacious hotel. The staff are very friendly helpful. The rooms are large and comfortable. I love the decor and the amenities. It’s close to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. There are several dining options. The only negative is that the quick service restaurant is outside. I highly recommend giving old key west a try.
An Excellent Option in Disney!

From the moment we arrived, staff went out of their way to welcome us to Old Key West. We were assigned a lovely studio near Hospitality House which we know is the luck of the draw, however it was appreciated all the same. The room was lovely & had a small kitchenette equipped with a microwave & small fridge as well as two double beds. There was also a small balcony that we ate breakfast on each morning. The staff at Olivia‘s Café welcomed us warmly on two different afternoons when the skies opened and changed our pool plans for the day. The pool and whirlpool were lovely. We also used the gym. The only disappointment was that the single recumbent bike was out of order for the length of our stay. Due to knee issues, this was the machine I was most interested in using. There is bus service to all the parks & Disney Springs. There are also ferries to & from OKW to Disney Springs. It will be down for a few weeks at the end of July & beginning of August 2026. The resort is equipped with showers & lockers which we were able to use on our last day even after we had checked out. We will definitely be back!
Avoid ground floor villa's

Nice resort, but avoid the ground floor villa's as there are 4 external air con units located directly outside the single glazed windows of the twin bedded room. They are extremely noisy and will prevent you from sleeping.
Could have been better

The resort is very large, so make sure you are prepared. If you aren’t by the hospitality area it’s a long walk. I know the DVC rooms have been refurbished but we didn’t get one of those. It definitely needed a refresh. It was musty and damp, the furniture was definitely dinged up and dirty, and the bathroom had been patched up but it was pretty bad. The good side is the outside looked beautiful, and there are lots of pools. I wouldn’t stay there again.
