Dated Resort With Excellent Hospitality and Food
MK L (Parrish, Florida) on May 23, 2026
This resort is extremely dated and not well maintained. The hospitality and food on the other hand was exceptional. Pros: hospitality, food, preferred bar area, and great AC in the rooms. You can watch all of the cargo ships waiting to pass through the Panama Canal. Cons: old run down resort that is not being maintained, lounge chairs around the pool are super uncomfortable and not adjustable, pools get dirty extremely quickly during the day, preferred area around the pool is only for adults, and no designated life guards on duty at the pools.

I spent a week at Dreams Panama with friends and family. While the property is fairly old, it was well maintained, clean and inviting. The food was as expected with the breakfast buffet, lunch at the Seaside grill, dinner at Oceania and the snacks at the preferred club room as standouts. Portofino restaurant could use an over hall. The service at the resort is exceptional. The staff is friendly, professional and extremely welcoming. Standouts were Ruben and Analise at the preferred pool bar and Kevin at the preferred room. Excellent!! Overall good value for the money with opportunities to improve food options.
This place was gross.

Our stay was terrible. The rooms were not clean very well even upon arrival. I killed a roach in my room. The wall mounted headboard was gross. The fruit at every buffett was covered in bugs every day of our stay. same for the pastries in the cafe.
Moldy rooms- expensive services- expensive transportation
Kelly O on May 20, 2026
The resort is approximately 40 min away from the Tocumen Airport; be aware of transportation fees averaging $60-$100 per trip. Not only in the hotel, but locals overcharge tourists, uber was $30. my recommendation would be to stay in the City to explore and then head to another resort where you do not need transport. The building itself is pretty nice, nice customer service, GREAT food, rooms smell like mold, and nothing in the room worked (coffee maker, hair dryer, phone to call front desk or room service) You can't really swim- use the beach that the resort has access to, so If you are looking for turquoise water, long days at the beach this is not the place.
