Great Hotel

My husband and I celebrated his birthday here and we had the best time. The restaurants were very good. The service was impeccable. The entertainment guys - Carlos and Noe were very friendly and worked very hard to make sure the guests were entertained. We will definitely be back to do some excursions.
Tropical Wedding

We had an amazing experience celebrating our wedding with family and friends at the Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort. Our wedding coordinator Celeste Maria Chavez was so wonderful! We stayed on the Secrets side of the resort as a couple. The facilities and the staff were all excellent. Our butler Jose was so helpful and amazing as well! We will definitely be coming back.

Excellent location, comfortable, clean, and elegant facilities. The staff is very attentive and helpful, and the food is of excellent quality. You can enjoy the authentic Mexican flavor. The beach is beautiful, and there are several very entertaining pools.
40th anniversary experience

Overall, very pleasant experience. The facilities are excellent. Overall service was very good. Food was good and the room was clean and very well kept. We were there for our 40th anniversary. I did notify them of the fact when booking. All they did was put a happy anniversary banner on our door! Not even a "Happy Anniversary" when we arrived. I expected much more.
WARNING TO WEDDING COUPLES: Deceptive Luxury, 7 AM Core Drilling, and Zero Accountability

We chose Secrets Vallarta Bay to host our destination wedding, bringing immense revenue to this property by booking a 35-room block and spending $40,000 on our wedding event alone. For our personal stay, we paid nearly $1,500 a day for an Oceanfront Master Suite in the Preferred Club, expecting a luxury sanctuary. Instead, our wedding trip and honeymoon were completely ruined by an ongoing industrial nightmare and shocking corporate evasion. Directly outside our master suite window, literally caddy-corner and less than 20 feet from our balcony, was a massive crane and heavy vertical core drilling rig. Every single morning of our stay, starting as early as 7:00 a.m., the resort’s pseudo-luxury oasis was shattered by the deafening roar of an industrial diesel engine and high-pitched hydraulic whines. Worse than the acoustic failure was the physical impact. The drilling sent violent structural vibrations directly through the building. The walls shook, the floors shook, and you could feel the intense shaking right through the mattress and pillows. Not once during our wedding stay were we able to sleep in or relax. The Preferred Club is marketed as an elite upgrade for premium privacy and service. In reality, our exclusive benefit was a front-row seat to heavy machinery churning a muddy slurry pit on the beach. Keeping the balcony doors shut did absolutely nothing to block the noise or the violent tremors. Selling a room at luxury rates under these active, disruptive industrial conditions is deeply deceptive. When we brought our meticulously detailed daily logs, audio clips, and photographic evidence to management, the response from Rooms Division Director Hector Pulido was nothing less than complete corporate nonsense. Management completely dodged responsibility, claiming they have no control over external city construction. They penalized us for waiting until the end of our stay to report it, even though we explicitly wanted to see the full extent of it and document the uninterrupted pattern of this daily disaster, and they used that as an excuse to completely deny any financial compensation. A global brand like Hyatt should know better than to treat premium clients and wedding hosts with such blatant disrespect. They pocketed our money, completely failed to provide a peaceful wedding sanctuary, and offered nothing but finger-pointing and corporate platitudes in return. If you are a couple planning a destination wedding, do not book here. Secrets Vallarta Bay does not care about your experience, they do not care about the massive revenue you bring them, and they will happily leave you vibrating in your bed at 7:00 a.m. without a dime of compensation. Absolute disgrace.
