We want to share our experience during our wedding celebration with Secrets and Dreams hotels that happened Sep 2026. We are a gay couple from San Francisco and first we chose the hotel based on reviews and photos as we have never been there and because it was the only one capable to hold a celebration for 100 guests, (so believe what you read and see). Once there, we and our guests were so pleased with the hotel, everything was GREAT, the rooms, service, food, facilities and also it has amazing views, not a single complaint from anybody. We stayed in the preferred section in Secrets (if you can we amply recommend) so we also want to send a shout-out to our butler Jose Becerra, amazing service and attention. Now, regrading the wedding celebration, we had it on the Dreams side because we had some minors in our guests, but either side, Dreams or Secrets is the exact same. It was magical, our coordinators Celeste Chaves, Daniela Rodriguez and Nayely Tello did an AMAZING job, originally we planned for the wedding to be outdoors but due to the effects of a hurricane, it was moved indoors but we think it was for the best :) celebration was held at the lobby that has a breathtaking view so we got a gorgeous sunset and reception was at their ballroom which our coordinators transformed it in a beautiful place (and we got AC) ! Oh and the food, everyone was raving about it! We and everybody loved it, we couldn't be more happy with how everything went, so if you are thinking on staying or planning your event here, DO IT!

This is our third time at this resort. This time we stayed on the secrets side in a master suite The suite comes with butter service. We spent the week, once again with Jose Becerra. Jose is outstanding at his job. He makes sure you or your family want for nothing. He set up all of our dinner reservations. He went to the corner store to get Michelle Ultra for my wife. He was always available to help. If you book on the preferred area, ask for Jose. He will make your experience even better. Thanks Jose. At the secrets pool we had the pleasure to be waited on by Junior, Miguel, and Carlos. These guys are awesome. We had so much fun with them. They were attentive and made sure our every need was meet. Ask for these guys when you get to the pool. They are a blast. We eat breakfast at the secrets buffet. Each morning we were waited on by Wendy and Adrian. They were both so incredible. They made the breakfast a great experience. They both were friendly, hardworking, and a joy to be around. Please ask for them when you sit down for breakfast. Al of the food and bar service at the resort were excellent. We did not have a bad meal and the service was above ten. I saved the best for last. Go to Capers, the Italian restaurant, and ask for Fransisco. He is the best waiter in all of Mexico. We ate at the twice restaurant twice. Both times with Fransisco. He took the dining experience to the next level. He is so friendly. He explained the menu and made great recommendations for our meals. I am a HUGE fan of Fransisco. Please ask for him if you each at Capers. Thanks Fransisco Our room was nice and the maid service was great. We had a great time. Thanks to all at Secrets Vallarta Bay. We will be back.

We originally booked this resort as an afterthought. Our original literary was Secrets Bahia Mita, but we figured since we were traveling this far we might as well check out Secrets Vallarta Bay. The reviews we read were good but we didnt seen anything special so our expectations were not high. We arrived at the resort and were immediately greeted by our UVC rep Julia and our UVC concierge Jimmy. They took great care of us, checked us in immediately and took us to our upgraded room which was beautifully decorated for my wife's birthday. They did a fabulous job and were there to meet all our needs during our stay. The resort itself is beautiful and well maintained. It is the older tropical sale resort that we prefer which really makes you feel like you are on vacation Ianthe Caribbean. The resort is laid out nicely and has a very small footprint so it is easy to navigate. We considered this resort a hidden gem. Things we liked: The style of the resort was beautiful with large spacious rooms. The service we received from everyone was top notch. The resort was very clean and well maintained. The food was great. We loved the Bourdue where Miguel took very good care of was and kept us entertained. Ocean was also one of our favorites were we ate lunch everyday overlooking the ocean while Gilberto took great care us. The prefered club bar was a great place get a drink and have a snack. There was always a great variety of good food there. The coffee shop had great coffee and great pastries all day long. There was always plenty of seating available and we liked the fact that we could sit at the pool and look out over the ocean which was just a few steps away. Our pool waiter Edgar was such a pleasure to be around and also had a fresh drink for us. The pools were nice and deep and very refreshing. The beach was beautiful, no seaweed although is was too rough to get in at this time. Things we didnt like: There were only three restaurants on the secrets side. The rest you had to go over to the dreams side to eat at them. There was no ala carte breakfast which we enjoy when we are away. The waslimited entertainment, no live music at the pools or at the bar. The pools were a little on the small side and got pretty crowded in the afternoon. The beach vendors are relentless. There are so many of them and they polite but constant. This is not the resorts fault but you need to be prepared. Our overall opinion is this is a great resort to visit. We will definately be back.

Had a great time at this resort. Service was EXCEPTIONAL. Bartenders Angel and Adrian at the pool were fantastic. Pool entertainment with Joseph and Jesus was so much fun every single day. They all made the experience better. Food was great, for breakfast especially. Breakfast tacos and fresh fruit selection was excellent. Sushi was SO good. Cafe sandwiches were so yummy. Room service was blah. Rooms could use some renovations. Food and service made the trip!
