Wanting to try a different resort, we settled on Zemi. While I was hesitant because of the drive from the airport, I’m happy we went. We did a private transfer and once we left the outskirts of the city, the country scenery was stunning. Made for an enjoyable trip. Check in was a bit of a nightmare but I think maybe we were responsible for that. We wanted to stay in a regular swim up room for 3 days then move to a club room for 4 days. That seemed to confuse the clerk. We also requested NO ADJOINING ROOM ! Well, guess what? We got an adjoining room. We tried to get it changed but again the clerk was confused. We decided it was just 3 days…but the first night was a nightmare! The kids next door were so loud late into the night. We went to the front desk next morning planning on a room change, the clerk said they were checking out and he wouldn’t book anyone into it until we moved to club. THANK YOU! The swim up was in building 4. Nice and close to the lobby and regular pool. We’ve never had a swim up before and I absolutely loved loved it! Hated to leave… Rooms in both levels were identical…only club had booze and you had access to an adult only breakfast restaurant and roof top pool. We were surprised to find out that the club level pool and building wasn’t exclusively adult. We were moved from building 4 to building 1. And thankfully they had a shuttle cart…it was a walk. The main buffet was extremely loud. Selection was limited and repetitive but a good meal. À la cartes had nice selections but make sure you have phone with you..there are no paper menus. We loved the lobby bar show in the evenings. The bugs were bad at the outside theater. The sports bar was a good place to hang out. The coffee/ice cream shop had great lunch sandwiches. I used the gym 3 days but found it was really too warm for me. The equipment was modern and good quality. We didn’t see anyone using the entertainment arcades. Looked like it could be a fun place. The last morning we went to the club roof top pool/restaurant Had a fabulous breakfast..à la carte. There was no beach per se. Just easy access into the water but people were swimming. The area is absolutely stunning!! Didn’t feel like the Dominican Republic at all. The mountains and turquoise water was breathtaking. All in all we liked our stay. But the excursions aren’t near and the handicraft classes the have in the mornings fill fast…it was nice to try something new.

Vanessa , Danny boy, Caser and Luis did a great job attending us. Drinks were delicious and always with a smile on their faces.

Everything 10/10 I would rate every aspect of this hotel’s service a 10 out of 10! From the cleanliness and quality of the food to the outstanding service and attention to detail, every part of our stay exceeded our expectations. The resort is amazing! Shout out to Luis, he has the kindest spirit. Honorable mention Carlos, Caesar and Amelfi!! The whole staff has been amazing.
