An Incredible Start for a Beautiful Resort With an Even Brighter Future

smcalister16 (Fayetteville, Arkansas) on Feb 11, 2026

We stayed at the Zemi Miches Hilton Curio All-Inclusive in early February and had a terrific overall experience. This is a brand new beautiful, remote resort with a lot of potential, and it already delivers a very enjoyable vacation. The architecture, pools, and interior spaces are stunning and thoughtfully designed. The resort grounds are expansive, but the golf cart shuttle service was quick and convenient, and the team members were consistently friendly and helpful. The oceanfront views are absolutely breathtaking and one of the highlights of the stay. We opted for the Club Azure upgrade, and it was well worth it. The Royal Palms restaurant and Club Azure pool areas felt first-class and provided a more relaxed, premium experience. The service at both locations was solid. The all-inclusive beverage program and variety of dining options were also appreciated. We found the food at the Sports Bar, Boba, and Yuca Beach Grill to be the best on the property, and evenings at the lobby bar were always lively and fun. The Cafe / Gelato bar made for a great treat in the morning or late in the evening. The resort also seems exceptionally well suited for large corporate meetings or conferences. The campus layout, meeting spaces, and transportation infrastructure would make it an excellent destination for corporate groups or incentive travel. Spa services were another highlight. We enjoyed both facials and massages, and the treatments were professional and well done. We were disappointed that the salon was closed during our stay, as hair and grooming services are something we would have taken advantage of if they had been available. That said, there are a few areas where the resort could improve—understandable for a property that’s only been open about seven months. We encountered occasional language barriers in some restaurants, even with simple requests like salt and pepper. The buffet food was often less flavorful and a noticeable step below the reservation-only restaurants. The dining reservation system via the mobile app was frustrating at times, with no availability showing even when restaurants clearly had open tables. Maybe a staffing concern? We also experienced multiple brief power outages during our five-day stay. Each lasted only 5–10 minutes, but they were disruptive and something the resort should address quickly. Finally, while the gym had excellent equipment, there was a slight odor that could likely be resolved with more frequent cleaning during peak morning hours or added fans. The resort is 90 minutes by shuttle from the Punta Canada airport. Just be prepared. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would return. Zemi Miches is already a beautiful and relaxing destination, and with a few operational improvements, it has the potential to become an exceptional flagship resort in this region. We especially enjoyed meeting Remelby on staff, he was always excited to see us, offer advice, assist with reservations and made our trip first class.

A wonderful place to be!

Alison C (Asheville, North Carolina) on Feb 07, 2026

We really enjoyed our stay at Zemi Miches! It is a beautiful resort. They did really well in planning the layout, and the decor. The rooms are beautiful, and where we were in Casa 3, it was very peaceful and quiet. The infinity pool is perfect -- so beautiful! It is absolutely huge! In the early morning, there were several people who swam laps there. The resort was not completely full, and we had no problem getting a good spot around the pool. All of the bars were excellent - great cocktails! We also enjoyed all of the restaurants. I enjoyed Boba and Toa most, and I think my husband liked Manicato best. I had a great steak at Yuca - we also had lunch there 2 days. The "food hall", Guacete, was also much nicer than you would think a food hall would be - we had lunch there the other days. The sports bar was nice, too. No complaints at all about the food! There are daily activities (games, crafts, etc) available. One of the crafts was making a necklace with a larimar stone - a stone that is only found on this island. The staff, everywhere, were excellent! It is such a beautiful place to be, and the staff really made it the best! Suggestions -- it would be reassuring to have a shuttle sponsored by the resort, for transfers to and from the airport. It is 1 1/2 hours away, and pretty chaotic to find our ride at the airport. Once we got in the van, it was great, though! I heard a couple of people who were unhappy with their meal at one of the restaurants, and they were extremely rude to the staff. There are going to be people like that anywhere you go, so I want to reassure the staff that they were wonderful, and I'm sorry that people are sometimes so rude.

Beautiful hotel; lovely staff; cold pools; crummy beach. The Azure pool is also nice.

semsemsemsem (New York City, New York) on Feb 06, 2026

The hotel is beautiful; the staff are wonderful and the food was good. Overall we enjoyed our stay but there were hickups. The pools are not heated and during Christmas the pools were cold. The clouds were blocking the sun. Maybe when it get's hotter the pools warm up. There were problems getting chairs at the main pool. However there is a smaller quieter pool at Building One. The ocea; Playa Moches is brown; not attractive. Because there are rivers nearby it attracts jelly fish. I was bitten but after 5 minutes the slight sting went away. Playa Esmeralda about 10 minutes away is way nicer and blue. They should have built the hotel on that nicer beach. We had rooms at the Azure Club. The rooms were large; a tub and nice shower. We enjoyed breakfast at the quieter Club Azure section. The main buffet dining room was just a room. Nothing special. Food overall was good. We enjpyed the Italian, Thai restaurant and steak house. However they need more restaurants as it's difficult to make restaurant reservations.
