Old Quebec City At Is Best
dambanker (Toronto, Canada) on Apr 14, 2026
We stayed here 3 nights and had a fantastic time. The location is great! Everything is within walking distance, restaurants, shopping and old town sites. The 1884 Toboggan Slide was right outside our window too. The hotel itself is filled with history; a museum of sorts on the lower floor. Given its age our room was good too, complete with bathrobes. The valet was very quick with getting our car and the staff were all welcoming and friendly. It certainly lived up to its reputation and I highly recommend it.
Unforgettable experience

An absolutely stunning and iconic hotel—truly an unforgettable experience. The staff were wonderful and even upgraded us for the birthday, which made the stay feel extra special. The spa was a little underwhelming compared to expectations, but overall it was still a beautiful and memorable stay.
Old-wordly wonder!

This hotel was a dream. It is right in the middle of the old town of Quebec. It was our favourite hotel of our trip to Canada (we visited Toronto and Montreal and Niagra too). It's very old-worldy, but maintains its 5 star standard at the same time. The food is incredible and the service wonderful. All staff were excellent and attentive. Highly recommended. Even our two teens loved this place!
Grandest hotel in old city Quebec near the Guardian Red Portal.

What an experience in Historic Quebec City! K drama fan alert, Red door portal and bronze mailbox await. Grand exterior leading to plush accommodations. Is this a museum or a hotel? It’s a bit of both. The lobby can be active with tour groups catching a glimpse of tradition and grandeur. Check in a breeze, merci Mathieu for your hospitality. Rooms large and comfortable; ubiquitous housekeeping turning over rooms with twice per day service above and beyond. Spa, pool and gym accessible. Don’t forget breakfast, full and hearty with usual Canadian treats and something not usually seen, refrigerated section cheese and meats galore. Exploring sights with daily scheduled walking tour. And a favorite maple syrup desert demo by Chef Joel with edible treats! Prime location situated at the top destination of old Quebec.
