One of the most iconic buildings you need to see when you visit Quebec City! If you saw it during winter, you should also visit it during summer It is a totally different experience and city vibes
An average stay in an iconic hotel
mecene71 (Helsinki, Finland) on Jul 14, 2026
I paid 1898 euros for four nights breakfast included. I wanted to see closely and stay in that iconic hotel, but won't do it again. The interior is splendid with shops and beautiful and historical paintings around you. However, my room was very small 16m2, but with a decent view to the Dufferin terrace which was pleasant. The breakfast was exquisite and I enjoyed it, but there were issues. The A/ C was loud and old- fashioned, not to five- star hotel level. The mini bar is on motion sensors, so if you move items from there, they are charged. The customer service was OK, but there were occasional lapses, e.g. as an Accor Silver Member a welcome drink is always included in my reservations, but the hotel put it to my room. Fortunately when checking out, I noticed it and it was taken off from my invoice. An interesting stay, but the next time in the Quebec City, I will stay somewhere else and save a lot of money.
Not quite a 5-star experience

I wanted to fall in love with this fairytale hotel, but our room and the overall hectic environment in the lobby area left a sour taste in my mouth. I get it, this hotel is a landmark in and of itself and even non-guests are curious to see the hotel’s interior. However, not enough is done to create a 5-star experience for actual guests, and from sun up to sun down, the hotel lobby and common areas are absolutely mobbed. The guest room that we received was also not up to 5-star standards. It appears as though a hasty room refresh was done, but the small details that make for a remarkable room experience we overlooked (see pics). The bathroom was also extremely small and there were spiders around the window. On the positive side however, the cleaning staff is was very attentive given the massive size of the hotel and we loved the Le Labo bath products.
Beautiful place to stay

Beautiful hotel! Staff were beyond helpful and friendly. More than willing to help with my weak French :). We paid extra for a river view, but the view was very limited - you had to stand by the window to actually see and the room itself was very small - no room to put anything. The pool, however, was fantastic. Entire facility was clean and welcoming.
Great stay at this iconic hotel

Great location with comfortable rooms and excellent service throughout the stay. Despite having many rooms, the hotel manages operations efficiently and smoothly. The Gold Lounge is a standout, with staff who are especially warm and attentive, creating a very homely atmosphere. The food is very good, and the bar (1608) is also enjoyable with a pleasant ambience. The only minor drawbacks are that the bathroom feels a bit small and the WiFi could be stronger. However, neither issue would stop me from staying here again. Overall, a highly satisfying and comfortable hotel experience that I would gladly repeat again soon.
