Had a great honeymoon here. The food is amazing and they are accommodating for Gluten free individuals. Special thanks to Gustavo, Alex, Hoza, Dichu, and Josue! All of the staff is great too. They are very fun. It is a very relaxing place to go.

I came to this resort in 2011. I remarried and wanted to come back. Let’s start with they are remodeling the resort which is good. The bad thing is there was very poor food options. Room service was horrible and there was no buffet after 11 am and no dinner buffet. Food is nonexistent after 4. It’s impossible to get a reservation at a restaurant. So it’s a slow wait for a burger on room service. The breakfast buffet was poor. I was always hungry. They had a guy cooking burgers on a grill one day. Everyone at the resort said the same thing. Then the exotic travelers pitch was ridiculous. They wanted $70k to pay $300 more for a week than what I paid. It was crazy. I’ll never be back. The beaches are terrible. This was the worst all inclusive experience I ever had.

The worst beach ever. Rooms are old and dirty. If you don’t upgrade treatment is ridiculous. Food is meh but booking at a reasonable hour is impossible. Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere This place has been the worst experience in Mexico.

We've been to several resorts in Mexico, and this is one of our top two favourites. Great food and plenty of options for every meal. The grounds are immaculately groomed. The wait staff is joyful and courteous. We were in the non-updated section (4100 building) and our room felt and looked "tired." It needs some attention. The sofa nearly sinks to the floor when you sit in it! But the housekeeping staff is second to none and they go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable. There are plenty of places to lounge in the sun, party spots or quiet, whatever you want. Two things I would change tomorrow, if I could: (1) they really play a lot of attention to the "members" of their vacation club, so it leaves non-members, like us, feeling like second-class guests, and (2) there's so little information ... anywhere! The El Dorado app is a joke. It doesn't work most of the time. Making reservations on the app is an exercise in frustration. The restaurants don't have signs telling you what restaurant you're at. There's no "daily bulletin" or anything to tell you what's going on the next day. They could really use an upgrade in communication with guests.

Only if you are a Lomas member would you highly rate this resort.The 25 year old hotel,pools and facilities are showing their age.Our room 4318 was extremely dated had cracked sanitary ware,mould in the shower area and the whirlpool bath wasn’t fit for purpose.Faults reported but only the mould was treated.The maid service was missed twice. If you wish to read a true review ignore the American members reviews as it’s not in their interest to criticise the resort due to their investment. Hard sell on membership reminiscent of Tenerife timeshare in the 1980s. The only plus point was the staff. On checkout a trip and a restaurant visit had been charged to my room, totalling £500.00.It took me over an hour to prove I hadn’t been and incurred these chargeable items. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this resort until it has been refurbished.There are better value hotels out there there as this one is quite expensive.
