The location was perfect, just 2 blocks from shopping. Wonderful atmosphere, rooms were clean. The staff was beyond friendly and always accommodating. The food was great, so many choices to choose from, and the fresh fruit was to die for. The only negative thing I have to say is the beach is not swim friendly. Also, if you require hand railing, some places did not have railing for assistance. Other than that, I loved the resort.

I had an absolutely amazing stay at Hyatt Vivid Playa del Carmen ??? The resort is beautiful, modern, spotless, and full of energy. My room was huge and incredibly comfortable — honestly the best hotel bed I have ever slept in. Everything felt luxurious and relaxing from the moment I arrived. The food was outstanding at every restaurant I visited. I loved being able to reserve restaurants through the app, and every meal felt like a fine dining experience with delicious appetizers, amazing main courses, and fantastic desserts. What truly made this resort special for me was the entertainment team. They genuinely go above and beyond every single day to create a fun, welcoming, and energetic atmosphere for all guests. There are so many activities throughout the day that there is always something fun happening somewhere around the resort. A very special thank you to Katia, who welcomed me so warmly from day one and helped me tremendously during my stay ?? But honestly, the entire entertainment team was incredible. Every morning they already had all the mats and equipment prepared before class started, and they were always ready to help with anything I needed. Even when I tried to help clean up afterwards, they would still try to stop me and take care of everything themselves. Their kindness, professionalism, and positive energy truly stood out. I also loved the daily activities at the resort — especially the 3 PM water volleyball at the pool bar, which was such a fun and social way to meet people and make new friends ??? Hyatt Vivid Playa del Carmen exceeded my expectations in every possible way, and I would absolutely love to come back again soon!

The rooms are large, food is good. I had dietary restrictions so ASIANA and the authentic Mexican restaurant onsite was amazing in accommodating the needs. Check in process was not all that nice, we have a playa membership ( which I would not recommend to purchase )unless u r willing it go to the the same couple of resorts they have, also the membership really does not give you any advantage over regular booking. You are just paying upfront for your vacation but getting rooms still depends on availability ( so not flexible) also they say if the room is available for an upgrade you can get that at check in at no extra charge . It never happens so easily even with slow season they gave us a really bad room and next day we had to write to Playa and they were able to get us an upgrade. But front desk always asks for extra money for upgrade when they are not supposed to as it's part of the membership benefits. So in short DON'T get trapped in the sales pitch. Do your RESEARCH really well before you commit your hard earned money.

We had an amazing time, can't wait to book for next year! The staff and location were so welcoming! We absolutely loved the entertainment provided on a daily basis as well.

A week-long stay in paradise as a couple celebrating our wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful trip and would comfortably say this is the best all inclusive resort we have stayed at. We travel a lot and pay attention to the “little” things which this hotel excelled at. The cleanliness, level of service, quality and variety of food and drinks are just a few things that stood out. We appreciated the two pools: one quiet and the other with more of a party atmosphere. The entertainment team does a good job at engaging people who want to participate without being pushy. The nighttime shows are wonderful and entertaining. The food at the buffet and à la carte restaurants is really wonderful with lots of options to choose from. We appreciated that the staff were not pushy for reviews or tips which we have found to be the case at other resorts. That suggests to me that all the positive reviews you read here are genuine as opposed to being the result of pushy staff who encourage you to mention them by name. We have seen this first hand at other resorts in Mexico as well as in the DR. It was refreshing to experience this level of service without the expectation of either generous tips or positive reviews. The rooms were clean, large and very comfortable. If you are a beach person, the beach is a little rocky and the seaweed can be a bit of a problem but this is not a reflection of the hotel. We want to highlight Alan, Fonsi and Hector at “La Mejorada”. They were all wonderful, kind, knowledgeable and friendly. Alan is an incredible mixologist who takes great pride in the drinks he makes. He is certainly an asset for the hotel and we really enjoyed his service and genuine, humble personality. Mario, the young gentleman working at Spice, was fantastic as well and we appreciated his great service and kindness. The staff at this hotel really do make you feel like family. Any time you walk past any staff member they place their hand on their heart which is such a sweet gesture. Everyone always greets you with a smile and takes genuine pleasure in looking after your needs. The only criticism we have is the very pushy nature of the staff who try to get you to agree to take a tour of the sister hotel. I don’t care that the other hotel has 9 pools. I booked this one for a reason. One “no” should be sufficient. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. It is conveniently located in Playa del Carmen and a short distance from the Cancun airport. The grounds are beautiful and well kept and although the resort is larger, it doesn’t feel overly crowded or too big. The staff and service are what make this resort stand out and the reason why we will certainly return. We can’t wait to come back and enjoy this beautiful place again.
