I spent a very relaxing five nights in early April at Paraiso De La Bonita with my family of six. Everything was as-pictured and as-described on the hotel's site. The hotel is beautiful, especially the main pool area. The saltwater pool was a great addition. The small(ish) scale of the property and the small number of other guests made it feel quite private. The rooms are large and well appointed. The restaurants were over staffed, so service was great and the food was delicious. We enjoyed our time at the new fitness center (amazing range of equipment), as well as our visits to the beautiful new Thalasso Spa. Five of us had massages, all from different therapists, and all were excellent. We loved the hydrotherapy suite, which was complementary with another spa treatment. We also enjoyed the Mayan Temezcal ceremony — slightly clichéd, perhaps, but still fun for our group. David (concierge) was a great help, setting everything up in advance. My twenty-something kids found the night life lacking, but that was expected. The only surprise was the essentially unusable beach. The vast quantities of seaweed are such a problem, and the hotel does not remove much of it — perhaps it would be too expensive to dispose of it? The smell made even sitting on the beach unattractive. Swimming was out of the question. The only consolation was that the pool area does offer beautiful views of the water, and the saltwater pool was a substitute (of sorts) for a dip in the ocean. Overall, it was lovely place to vacation if you are willing to forego a useable beach.

The Piano Bar Is the best place to get your favorite coffee and meet your favorite person in the whole wide world Mely. She will take great care of you. Customer service is outstanding coffee is amazing as well.

If you like a small, secluded boutique hotel with amazing food and friendly staff then stay here. The resort was very clean. Staff, especially Edwin in Qin/Qin restaurant very attentive to making your stay enjoyable.

My partner planned a surprise 50th birthday celebration for me at Paraíso de la Bonita with 13 friends. The resort is beautiful. But the team is what made it unforgettable. My partner spent months coordinating with guest services — every meal, room detail, cocktail reception, and excursion was thoughtfully planned as a complete surprise to me. What we got in return was flawless execution with surprises woven throughout. Angelica managed all pre-arrival planning across dozens of conversations. Her attention to detail set the tone before we ever arrived. Our butler, Fernando, arranged for a surprise reception upon our arrival. With everyone arriving at different times and trying to navigate the resort without me seeing them, he had his work cut out for him. I was shocked. Fernando was the heartbeat of our stay. He arranged a private dinner at Qin Qin in the Diamond Club — a curated menu designed specifically for our group. On our final night, he surprised us with a chef’s menu at K’uhul centered on local fare. Both were exceptional. Enrique was by Fernando’s side throughout — checking in constantly to ensure every moment was not just smooth, but memorable. I can’t say enough about their impact on our overall experience. Beyond those three, several others deserve recognition: • Yessica (spa) delivered the best massage of my life — 80 minutes of deep tissue, hot stone, and reflexology. • Ariana (spa host) made my hydrotherapy session feel genuinely personal and welcoming. • Ze (Diamond Club bar) was a gifted bartender and an even better host — he engaged every one of us and gave a spontaneous education on tequila. • Norma, though she wasn’t our butler, delivered service well above and beyond for part of our group. Every single team member we encountered was warm, attentive, and striving to exceed expectations. We would return just for them. Their impact was that powerful.

We got a couples massage and hydrotherapy at Thalasso Spa while guests at Paradiso de la Bonita. Arianna, Jessica, and Samantha provided my partner and I a wonderful experience. We felt very welcome and taken care of. Our massages were wonderful, and we appreciated the little extra neck massage from Arianna at the end of our hydrotherapy. We highly recommend.
