Amazing Week at Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen

The resort has a beautiful, authentic Mexican feel. It is right in the heart of Playa Del Carmen so it’s easy to walk down the beach or take a stroll along the pedestrian mall of 5th Avenue. The quiet pool was our main activity, but for those looking for more action, they have music and activities going all day at the main pool. The evening entertainment was jaw dropping most nights with acrobats and dancers doing various themed shows. The best part was the amazing food. We felt it was far better than most all-inclusive resorts, especially the baked goods! The buffet was outstanding! The entire staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this resort for your next Mexican vacation.
One of a kind Staff <3

Hyatt Vivid Playa del Carmen made my time in Mexico so memorable and will be coming back!! What truly enhanced my vacation was the friendly, hard-working staff who were incredibly helpful and fun. A few shoutouts to: Felix the cabaña man. Made me laugh whenever we saw him at the pool <3 Ericzander the bartender. Poured us extra tequila shots to make us drunk to make us happier <3 Alberto the Chef. Made us salads and desserts not on the menu <3 These people went above and beyond, making my trip so much more special with my friends???? Hyatt is lucky to have these people as apart of their team
Excellent experience all around!

We stayed here for a week. Everything was better than expected. The food and drinks were not only plentiful but very delicious with a large variety of cuisines available. Service was excellent from top to bottom. There was a large variety of activities regularly throughout the day and evening. Hydrotherapy at the spa was great, followed by relaxing massages by Samuel and Jazmin. The grounds were very clean, and the room was comfortable and quiet. The location was convenient and close to shops/restaurants. The resort is right on the beach which was beautiful, but quite small. Overall we had a great time and would go back!
Fantastic Experience!

Highly recommend the Hyatt. The hotel was perfect and the food was amazing, especially with dietary restrictions like celiacs and a shellfish allergy. There are different sections that you can choose to be in if you're feeling like a quiet day by the pool or fun at the beach! Loved our stay and will visit any Hyatt again in the future :)
Wonderful stay! First time staying in Playa Del Carmen.

Our first visit to Hyatt Vivid, Playa Del Carmen, Quintana Roo, MX, from2/11 to 2/18 2026. We were pleased with the speed and proficiency of check in. Our fabulous butler Roberto conducted our check-in personally. He listened to our every request and quickly followed through on all tasks. He met with us face to face each day and made us feel at ease. We were given a one bedroom oceanfront deluxe suite, 1337. The resort itself is ot overly large but you didn't get lost easily. The beach out front is quite narrow (maybe 20 feet clear in front of tanning beds. The water entry directly out front is rocky with old coral. There was a better area to the left with a sandy bottom where you could spare your feet and swim and snorkel. Water shoes suggested directly out front. The staff does a good job cleaning up the sargassum seaweed each morning. They us a front end loader and several workers. The buffet "Spice", was very small as buffets go. The staff were very very nice and polite. Our room included a dinner at their premier restaraunt (The Chefs Plate, considered an upgrade). Food was slow coming out. No atmosphere and nobody was playing the baby grand sitting in the corner. (Hint, Hint) We both had rib eyes tasty but tough. (Prob. Local source their beef) Complained a wee bit but heard a guy (who did pay) say he saw it clear his account already. Ours was free thank goodness. If you rent a pool cabana (99 USD). You will have close neighbors. They have a few too many chaise lounges on the pool edge. Hard to get through. Almost tripping even sans alcohol. Probably our favorite restaurant was "Pelicano's". (Mediterranean). This one and the adjacent Mexican restaurant were on the water. Our waiter at the beach was "Adam". He was super nice and did a fantastic job. Entertainment was OK. They ended about 9:15 p.m.. An outstanding waiter at entertainment area was also named Roberto. Without a doubt he was the best waiter I have experienced at all of our all-inclusives stays. BRAVO to Roberto. Do visit 5th Avenue. Very long street only a few minutes walk from the lobby. Lots of cultural shopping and interesting things.. Many craftsmen. Airport only 50 mins away in Cancun. We did have to request more than once, Coke lights for the minibar. Finally saw correction. A shout out to Kevin in admin who helped my husband figure out the Mexican keyboard at the business center. He is a real asset to Hyatt. He was very kind and patient. All in all, at this level of facility, we were essentially delighted with the resort and have never incurred such efficient, polite and very helpful employees even at a 5 star facility. We were very pleased, especially Roberto our butler. You are a gem Roberto!!! Muchos, Muchos gracias!
