Aging hotel good amenities but lacking polish and needed updates.

Booked this hotel for work travel as it had a great location and price and I enjoy staying in Union Square. The room was much older than I felt was portrayed online and is need of technology and general updates. The TV lacked modern hotel features (options for Netflix, Disney + etc) and the AC never seemed to ever work well or get to the temperature it showed. The bathroom was the worst part as once I opened the curtain I saw that the back wall was covered in the hair of the previous occupant. To their credit I did report this to the front desk and they responded quickly with an offer to move rooms (to a lower level than I paired for however) and got the room spotless the next morning. To add the bathroom was very dated (and not in a cool way) and the shower did have good pressure and temperature. The saving grace for this hotel was the pool and option to get a session in the sauna which are both welcome options in downtown San Francisco. Overall I would not stay at this hotel again unless the need for a pool and a great location at a fair price are at the top of my need
Confusing hotel

Extremely difficult confusing hotel. Staff difficult to understand. Did not understand anything in the neighborhood area. Elevators all over the place to get to your room. Will not stay again.

Handlery was perfect place to stay in SF. Not only it’s centrally located, literally close to everywhere one would want to go. But mostly, the staff are professional, friendly, informative and accommodating!
Great hotel in the city.

The front desk people were friendly and efficient. The concierge was patient and very helpful to me and to other parties, as I observed. The room in the "historic" tower was clean and very quiet (it did not face the street). It had everything we needed. It was great that we could preorder a delicious continental+ breakfast. Parking was easily accessible and there was no extra charge to take the car in and out of their garage. And the cost of staying at this hotel was surprisingly quite reasonable. I would definitely stay here again.
A lovely hotel in the heart of Union Square.

A great hotel. Very clean and friendly staff. We were upgraded to a king suite because we were staying for a week.
