A beautiful resort for a relaxing break close to nature.

Milonga (Poole, United Kingdom) on Dec 28, 2025

We spent a week at the resort. We booked a standard room but were upgraded to a spacious, sea view room. There is no air conditioning but plenty of ceiling and standing fans. The side of the room overlooking the sea was netted and had slatted blinds. We were both comfortable and not troubled by mosquitoes. In any event, there is a net around the bed. We delighted in hearing the wonderful sounds of the waves, frogs and insects in their natural chorus. Accessing the room from the dining area on the level below, necessitated walking up a number of steps and down a slope. There are further steps down to a lounge bar area and to the beach. Make sure to check mobility wise which room is best for you. There are three dining areas (one at beach level). The food is exquisite and there is an interesting and varied vegan menu. Plenty overall to choose from. The staff are attentive, service is discreet and very warm and friendly. Service is excellent. Nothing is too much trouble. There are good sunbeds and bar service on the beach immediately below the resort and on Anse Mamin (plantation belongs to the resort) which is about a ten minute flat walk from the main beach. Otherwise, accessible by resort boat. It is possible to walk unguided, in Anse Mamin plantation. Worth doing. There are plenty of activities to choose from, a few are complimentary e.g walk to Soufriere on market day. Would recommend doing the Tree to bar chocolate excursion which includes a trip to Emerald Plantation used for growing produce for the resort. There is some music entertainment over dinner. Otherwise, the resort is blissfully peaceful and is in a beautiful corner of the island, far away from the main beach area.

Fantastic Stay

Kelly P (Boston, Massachusetts) on Dec 17, 2025

My husband and I had a fantastic five-night stay at Anse Chastanet for our honeymoon. We stayed in 14A and absolutely loved the three-walled open-air room. There were very minimal mosquitos which we were worried about and it was so relaxing falling asleep to the sound of wildlife every night. The beach is absolutely beautiful with plentiful palapas and fabulous snorkeling right off the shore. We ate lunch daily at the Anse Mamin beach restaurant which had great food and drinks. We also enjoyed afternoon tea at Anse Chastanet and loved how laid back and quiet the beach was. While there are technically only two restaurant spaces, the food exceeded our expectations and there was a wide array of options that changed every night. We also ate dinner one night at Jade Mountain which was incredible. The small bar had great live music to end each night, and while I would call the resort a bit sleepy, it’s truly a hidden gem where you can be fully relaxed and enjoy the beauty of Saint Lucia. Can’t wait to go back.

Truly, wonderful resort experience - the best way to experience St. Lucia

Jennifer A on Dec 16, 2025

We had an amazing experience at Anse Chastanet! From beginning to end, we found the resort staff super friendly, considerate, and accommodating. The intentional, architectural design of the resort truly blends the open-air rooms into the hillside allowing each one to be unique, private, and have amazing Piton and sunset ocean views. If you don't want the open-air experience, you can still book an ocean side room with air conditioning, but the evening turn down service of night lighting and undraping of the mosquito netting around the bed actually offers a lovely and romantic bedtime effect. (Also, the mosquitos were slight during the time of our visit and only affected one of us at all.) The lush, native foliage just below our balcony and throughout the resort was beautiful and full of birds and tiny lizards making the resort alive with its natural surroundings. Their beautiful beaches, natural sand, beachside restaurants, services and amenities, the location of the Scuba St. Lucia (adjacent), and the snorkeling and dive opportunities in the reef just off the beach can't be beat and make the climb back to the upper rooms totally worth it! The dining was fabulous--so many choices for dining, menu options, their own farm grown fresh produce, wonderful staff, and different evening entertainment nightly. They offer tons of things to do in the resort (scuba classes/diving, sunset cruises, farm tours) and many more guided opportunities outside (volcano tour/mud bath, botanical garden/mineral bath, Gros Piton hike) with and without additional costs. Those are just the ones we did, and our drivers and guides were all friendly and fantastic. We do consider the drive into and out of the resort part our island adventure for this tucked away resort vacation that we highly recommend!

We returned to Anse Chastanet after a brilliant stay last year, although the stairs and layout might not suit everybody it stands out from every other hotel we have visited in the Caribbean for the rooms, beaches, location, food, available activities and last but not least the brilliant staff. It’s like Glastonbury compared to other festivals in our experience! You feel a part of the whole thing. Thank you Karolin and the rest of the team

Spectacular Hotel

Texasteve1964 (McLean, Virginia) on Nov 03, 2025

Fantastic stay! Absolutely loved it. Room had a lot of space. View was spectacular. Truly one of the best views in the world with the ocean on one side and the mountains on the other. Food was great and staff went above and beyond. I can't wait to stay here again.
