My husband and I had been looking forward to visiting the GCBC for over a year. Covid had kept us away so we were very distressed when we learned that the CDC had put St. Martin on a "Do Not Visit" list. We struggled to make up our minds so I sent an email to GCBC, hoping for guidance. I received an almost immediate response from Laura who addressed my concerns but put no pressure on us. In fact, she said our deposit would be refunded if we chose not to come. I am so glad that we decided to take a chance. GCBC was as wonderful as ever..well run, clean, friendly staff. We did notice a few minor changes which probably came from the financial challenges imposed by a hurricane followed by covid. We didn't mind that the room was only cleaned every other day. Stephan Wright and his staff have done a wonderful job of maintaining all the positive aspects. We had a wonderful time and appreciate it very much

Just finished an 11 night stay at GCBC. We had first visited the property back in the early 90s pre-kids and revisited just now with the last of 4 having graduated college this past May. My wife and I stayed in room 709 which is a deluxe ocean facing suite. Rooms were big especially the upstairs bedroom and bathroom. The 700 building faces the Petit Plage beach which is a little bigger, sand wise, and also very close to the bar, restaurant and pool. All of the staff were very friendly, especially Gary. We had a car which is needed if you plan to do more than just walk to Grand Case which we also did many times. There was a security guard who was patrolling the road from the hotel to downtown Grand Case at night. I am not sure who employed him but we did get to know him from our frequent trips into town for dinner. Would highly recommend GCBC for a relaxing stay whch was much needed after the last 18 months.
