Fantastic family vacation

Chris G (Silver Spring, Maryland) on Apr 27, 2024

This review is long overdue from last year (actually in March 2023, but I couldn't select that above). My wife and two young children when to Blue Haven for Spring Break. It was my wife's suggestion based on very positive comments about Blue Haven being family friendly, and it is 100% true. Folks who worked there really welcolmed us and our 5 & 8 year olds. They treated us like family and were so kind. Special shout out to Mica, Andre, Natalee and Janet for making it a most memorable trip. The experience was great, the facilities were fantastic, the staff was awesome, and I really liked breakfast and dinner. There weren't really good options for lunch, so that was my only disappointment. But I would absolutely return to Blue Haven for another trip. It was one of the best vacations I ever experienced, and I completely recommend it to others.

Customer service

lakeelad2020 on Apr 27, 2024

We had an amazing time at the Blue Haven Resort. There is some great staff there. Ms.Janet was great. She took good care of us. She made us feel welcome and she has a genuine spirit. Ms. Kellie is quite, but very sweet. Ms. Rose greeted us daily with a smile for breakfast. Mr. Micah offered us knowledgeable Information about kayaking and other activities on the Resort. He was a great guy and very friendly. T ange the excursion coordinator is awesome and knowledgeable in different areas at the resort. She goes above and beyond for the visitors. Very caring person. The staff mentioned made our trip the best and they are a great asset to the Blue Haven Resort Team. Overall it's a great place with enjoyable staff.

This was one of my best vacations. The staff was incredible. Especially, Tishane, Smiley, Coco, Nathalie and Janet. They went out of their ways to make sure we had the best trip possible. The atmosphere was fabulous and I have already booked a trip to return.

Blue Haven Resort: A Tranquil Paradise in Turks & Caicos

Sherpa65724885427 on Apr 26, 2024

Let me just start with you have to go to Turks & Caicos periodt! The beaches here are nothing short of breathtaking, with crystal-clear turquoise waters filled with all kinds of sea life. It's the kind of view that leaves you speechless and reminds you of nature's unparalleled beauty (which was so needed for my husband and I who are always on the merry-go-round of life and needed a good break from it all). Blue Haven Resort is truly your home away from home in Turks. Situated perfectly right at the Marina and along a beautiful beach - this tranquil oasis exceeded all our expectations from the moment we arrived! Ok let’s get down to the nitty gritty about Blue Haven. First, you aren’t going to get busy buffet lines, have to wait on service or save pool or beach chairs starting at 6am, Blue Haven is full service, all the time. It’s amazing! Their staff is worlds above any others at hotels we’ve stayed at before in the Caribbean. A huge shout out to Roldor and Kamar who flashed their smiles at us every morning and brought us drinks and lunch in the afternoon. These 2 were just the best! Kellie and Janet took our orders at breakfast and Janet sent me on my way with a mimosa on the way out (yes, that’s the type of guest I am!). These 2 could not be any sweeter and a hug from Janet on our last day was so comforting because I wasn’t ready to go! From the moment you arrive, you're greeted with warm vibes and genuine hospitality. We did 2 excursions. The boat cruise that goes to the beach, iguana island, snorkeling, shipwreck and Noah’s Ark and the clear bottle kayak mangrove tour. The boat cruise was championed by none other than Captain Cobra who will make your voyage unforgettable! John and Romain were steadfast first mates and made sure we were all safe during the snorkel trip. It can be a little rough some days by the reef itself, but have no fear John and Romain were there! They made sure we all stayed together, pointed out nurse and lemon sharks, turtles, clown and parrot fish, Dory, Nemo and all the things under da sea that Sebastian sang about in the Little Mermaid, it was awesome! The mangrove tour is for all those who like to kayak or sit in a kayak and have your partner paddle (like I did!) and love nature. Since the water is so clear you’ll see fish as you go, tons of turtles and if you look really closely a crab or two. You go right into the mangrove itself which is quite a sight to see up close. Michael led our tour and John was back again to give us a jet ski tow out to open water. Michael was so knowledgeable of all the landscape around us and again pointed out wildlife whenever he could. He paddled along side our group and (spoiler alert!) right in the middle of the tour showed us a beautiful live conch which is abundant in Turks and so delicious. Wowzas! Back to the hotel and on to entertainment because that’s what some of us vacation for and what many of us need after sitting in a kayak while someone else paddles. I read this before heading to Blue Haven so I was prepared, but yes the entertainment scene isn’t huge at this resort. However, do not be swayed by other reviews, it’s there and on and poppin’ just mainly during the day, with some lovely shows at night like a live saxophonist, singer and piano player. Smiley, Tishane and Coco had the whole pool, Seaside Grill restaurant and beach laughing, having a blast, dancing and playing games throughout the day. There were games just for the kids, just for the adults and then for the kids and adults, so they had us covered. Then there would be some breaks so everyone could just chill and relax and the entertainment crew would return with some more fun in the sun later in the afternoon. Perfect combo for vacation! We met a ton of other guests (shout out to all our vacation peeps!) at the resort and everyone just gelled together. If you are questioning staying at a non-adults only resort, let me break that down. My husband and I usually stay at adults only resorts (kids are wonderful, we just forgot to have any) and this was the most fun we have had on vacation in years! I think because Blue Haven is a quaint resort it made it easy to mingle with the singles, newlyweds, families and everyone in between so it was all good. And if socializing isn’t your thing on vaca or in real life, there’s still plenty of space to just do whatever you’d like and be on your own with pure peace and quiet. Ok Reader (see what I did there Netflix) here’s the highlights if you skipped to the end of my wordy review and because I’d have to write a book if I wanted to mention every piece of goodness this resort offers. If you want to stay at a beautiful, clean, updated, modern resort…book Blue Haven, if you want delicious, seasoned fresh food, with lots of choices at each restaurant…book Blue Haven, if you want excursions where you can explore the landscape and see wildlife up close…book them on day 1 of your stay at Blue Haven, if you want the kindest, most genuine staff, who will look after you 24/7 and never forget to pour you a rum punch… book Blue Haven, if you want a fun vibe for a friends trip where you wait for nothing…book Blue Haven, if you want a fun spot to take the whole family where the kids, Mom, Dad, Nana and Papa will all enjoy…book Blue Haven, if you are a couple who needs to get away from it all, needs some natural vitamin D from the sun, and you want to explore a beautiful island…book Blue Haven. If you want a bigger resort, more hustle and bustle (because you know how you like to vacation), more restaurant choices (Blue Haven only has a few), love a large open beach and a resort with multiple pools… book over at the much larger sister resort Alexandra and take the shuttle to Blue Haven when you’re ready for that vibe. You will not be disappointed if you book at either Blue Haven or Alexandra, so just book now and thank me in your head later!
