Poor service, rooms and furniture.

Thereviewer23 (Brisbane, Australia) on Jul 02, 2022

This hotel is well below par. Good beds and quality sleep but we got here with 3 people for a “suite” and were given a small room with a wooden fake door in between the lounge room and the bedroom. The bedrooms were tiny as they only included a bed. The couch ( which was not made for our arrival) was hard and uncomfortable. And finally when we came back after a day and a half, our room was not made and cleaned. Poor stay with no real benefit but not the worst place I’ve ever stayed in. Would not come again.

Great, Centrally Located Hotel with Very Helpful People

WoodOw (Arlington, Virginia) on Jun 23, 2022

The hotel is in easy walking distance to the cruise terminal and all there is to do in that area. My wife is an Ambassador Elite and we were upgraded to a spacious room with an outdoor balcony which was really appreciated. It was great sitting outside for morning coffee or for just getting fresh air. The room was very clean and functional. Nice shower and plenty of electric outlets. We only ate in the restaurant for breakfast, but the menus looked good for other times. They also have a happy hour that had a number of options. The breakfast choices were nice and the food was really good. The staff there was quite efficient and very nice. I’m sorry I don’t have their names, but they were impressive in handling a busy crowd and that on the second day our server remembered our order from the day before. They were very attentive. A small, but great hotel restaurant. We had a bit of a health issue on our second day and 2 particular staff should be highlighted, Mr. Dipankar, Asst Front Office Manager who went to extraordinary lengths to help us stay in our room on a sold out holiday weekend. He was sympathetic, concerned and communicated well keeping us informed. Also, Mr. Laing at the front desk was also quick to help, concerned and effective. We were very impressed with their concern and actions. Thanks so much. We would definitely stay at their hotel on our next trip to Vancouver. Nice and caring staff at every instance and it really made the hotel memorable.

Thank you, Marriott!

I had a most wonderful stay at the Delta Suites. Every staff member went above and beyond to ensure our visit was more than pleasant. The room was spacious and the beds comfortable. The hotel is in a great location, with restaurants and attractions in walking distance.

Visit to Vancouver to see family

Lisa H (Spruce Grove, Canada) on May 30, 2022

I just returned from a 4 day visit to Vancouver. It was two of us ( a friend of mine and myself). First off the Hotel is in a great location and walking distance to everything. Upon arrival the staff were fantastic and check in was easy. We even got freshly baked cookies as a welcome gift, nice touch! We had the suite with 2 queen beds and a separate sitting room. It was spotless and very spacious for our needs. Their is free Netflix available so you just use your personal sign on. The room had a mini fridge and a small Keurig style coffeemaker. Front desk staff lets you know on arrival if you need housekeeping services you need to book that in advance. Getting extra towels etc is no problem they’ll bring it all right up. Their is a restaurant/bar on the property that has a Happy hour from 3-6 and another one from 9- Late. Our first night there it wasn’t closed for a private function so we weren’t allowed access. Our second night there we wanted to pop in for a drink at 10pm but they were closing so I’m not sure what “late” means as advertised above. It seemed to vary nightly. The drinks in the bar were good and the restaurant has a minimal menu but what we had was good (not great) . Overall a very nice stay except for a few “Cons” Room service: They do not offer pots of coffee to bring to your room. Your only option (other than your tiny coffee maker) is to order a coffee in the morning. The options are one size, medium cup, of A Starbucks coffee choice. Plain, Latte or Cappuccino. The cost for 2 coffee with room service was $18 CAN. That includes a $5 service fee to deliver. Twice we asked for extra creamers and sugars and twice it didn’t come with our order and needed to send them to get more. The coffee arrived in paper cups, no ceramic mugs available, so it gets cold fast. The Restaurant Breakfast choices were minimal. Sometimes you’d just like to get some bacon and eggs, toast and potatoes , or a simple omelette but that wasn’t an option. Breakfast for 2 with room service was $75 CAN . I did mention these things to front desk on check out and she said “she’d tell the manager “ Overall our stay was lovely, just wanted to mention those few things!

Clean & Good Location

kykatie (Union, Kentucky) on May 30, 2022

We stayed here for a couple of nights before our Alaskan cruise. Hotel was very clean and comfortable. All the employees we encountered were friendly and we really enjoyed the on-site restaurant, which we had dinner at one night. The hotel was also easy to find - we took the train from the airport all the way to downtown (Waterfront Station) and it was a short walk from there. We were also able to easily walk to the cruise port as it was only about 5 min away. I was on the fence about booking a hotel closer to the port, but I'm glad we went with this hotel since it was a bit cheaper than those closer to the water, and still very nice with a convenient location. We did notice a few homeless people hanging around the side of the hotel near the entrance we would use to go in and out, but I think that just comes with being in the city.
