Wouldn’t come back

970emilianad (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) on Jan 07, 2023

I reserved 5 rooms 6 months in advance at this hotel for a family vacation. When I arrived, the room types I had booked were not the ones we received. On top of that, the house keeping service is way below average, our shower was broken and the day we arrived there were dirty dishes in the dish washer.

Disappointing Delta!

Eddie G (Eimeo, Australia) on Jan 06, 2023

We were really looking forward to staying here, as our friends had highly recommended The Delta. However, it was clear to us, and our returning friends that The Delta was a disappointment and the service lacking. When we arrived there was no one there to help with our bags, so we took them in ourselves. It was a comfortable room, on first appearances, yet the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes because we soon deduced that it was broken. Hence nothing was clean. There was no urgency in response from The Delta, where they preferred to try and address this over the phone before eventually coming up to help. It then needed replacing. The shower had obviously just had some tile work, as when you stepped on the tiles they sunk in and white grout seeped out. There was no coffee maker, despite there being satchels provided. This was a saga in itself just getting a new one. The apartment was clean, but there was no proactive approach to servicing our room and we were there for 12 days. When I questioned Reception I was told that you needed to request this yourself. So I requested a service, it didn’t happen, and no one at Reception knew about my request. Then they sent someone in to complete this just as we returned from a day’s skiing. Whilst there was a shuttle, there seemed to be a reluctance to use it. One day we waited in -25 Celsius for 30 minutes to turn up, only to have other guests take preference as they were waiting longer. So we took the bus! The pool and spa were great, which the kids loved. Also, there is a good bar underneath called Brickworks with a brilliant bar man called Leo. However, despite the pools and the bar, we very much doubt if we will come back as the service was well below par! Very disappointed and there must be better offerings in Whistler than The Delta.

Rooms need a refresh-showers warm and windows had ice INSIDE

Kelly S (Seattle, Washington) on Dec 20, 2022

We have stayed at this property for a few years now for a pre Christmas family ski trip. This year we really noticed the rooms are tired and dirty and could use a good refresh. We had a 2 bedroom suite. Both rooms the bedrooms were FREEZING-ice was literally INSIDE the windows. We all slept in sweats and socks. Miserable. The shower water never got hot and after living in the cold conditions a hot shower was so WANTED. That being said the staff is always friendly. And we really enjoyed the Brickworks restaurant attached to the hotel. Very very friendly service, great drinks and food. The hotel is not worth the price tag anymore.

Do not trust front desk agent's words.

Katherine C (Victoria, Canada) on Dec 17, 2022

WATCH OUT WHAT YOUR FRONT DESK AGENT PROMISES. We've been staying at the hotel many times, but this time is not as happy as before. Tips - make sure your profile is noted for any billing information. Their billing transparency is challenge. Our stay was very pleasant until next day check out. Our check in front desk lady was very supportive and nice. She knew we were in Whistler for our celebrations, so she welcomed and offered "FREE PARKING," which is a generous surprise and we took it and thank for her. This little surprise does make our stay different as usual I stayed at the hotel before. She also offered us quick service for check in, extra towels and cups for water. She guided for parking, hot tub, elevator direction etc. She was just awesome and hospitality front agent. We enjoyed the check in night. The bell men were helping with parking and luggage. Everything was wonderful as expected as mine previous hotel experiences. HOWEVER, the next day check out lady told us to pay for parking with unhappy face. It looks like people owe her money. I feel like the hotel FOOLED me and LIED for their guests. If you already told me it's complimentary, I am not expected to receive this embarrassing moment at check out. The check out lady did not trust me. She said there's never free parking. ( I understand, but I was told for free.) She said there's no notes on our profile. She explained that the check in lady mix-up our reservation with TD group. Well, this is not our fault, and we are paying for hotel mistake? She was not as welcoming as our first night front desk agent. There is no communication between front desk team. I've never received this service before. She looked at us like we were fraud. I worked for high-end hotel front desk before, and I do know that sometime hotel wipe parking for guest and note it. Also, it seems that the hotel only cares the TD group for one night stay, but not our royal returning guest. The stay was great before next day. We ended up paying for this unpleasant journey for our celebrations.

Brilliant Stay

Freedom25023798816 on Dec 15, 2022

I had a great surprise as I didn't realise it was an aparthotel. My room was fabulous, had a great view of the mountains and the staff were very helpful too. My only regret is that I could have stayed longer.
