Stayed prior to morning flight. Super convenient. Traveled through Vancouver to visit family. The Fairmont made taking an early flight painless. I would definitely recommend it. No need to leave the building - just take the elevator down to the airport and off you go!

What a phenomenal first experience on the Gold Floor. We stayed in the Jade Suite and every detail was considered. Right down to the sizes of the children’s robes to the personally labelled bath products. The staff were incredible at every interaction. They truly seemed happy to be there. The lounge feature was top notch, with delicious spreads both at cocktail hour and breakfast. Highly recommend the upgrade if you are looking for a true luxury Fairmont experience.
Location is excellent and our stay was fine.

We spent one night at the hotel as our flight was early in the morning. Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. Very convenient location to the airport. We had dinner at the hotel and it was very good.

This was my first stay at a Fairmont property. They always seemed wildly expensive but after a lousy 18 months, I felt I deserved some pampering. The staff here are uniformly fantastic, especially Dmitri at the front desk, Patricia (?) in the restaurant and Justine in the spa. The hotel was spotless, the room was soundproof and comfortable, and the food I tried from the restaurant and from room service was excellent. That said, the pool was very small and disappointing. Fortunately the spa made up for it. My mud wrap was blissful! Overall, I would gladly stay here again -- it felt like a safe haven from a crazy world.
Room did not meet expectations

We have chosen the Fairmont for a number of special occasions, and love staying at the airport location in Vancouver before family trips. This trip, however, was a disappointment. Our phone in our room only worked using the speaker phone function. When we ordered room service they missed part of our order (replaced it but I expect more from such a great hotel). The worst part however, was when the light attached to our bed kept turning off and on without prompting. At 10pm (with two young kids sleeping in the room), we had to go in the hall to call the front desk (cause we didn't want to wake them using the speakerphone function on the phone). We then had to have an engineer come up to our room (he was great), to try and fix the light. The end solution was that he taped over it using electrical tape (at my suggestion). We had to check out early in the morning to catch our flight, so I did not have a chance to talk to someone at the front desk. I was disappointed to not find any kind of compensation / discount on our final bill. This was not what I expected from a hotel of this caliber.
