Great location and great service

We needed a hotel close to Vancouver airport, to help with a long layover. The Fairmont could not have been better placed - it’s in the terminal building and you can print your boarding pass next to the reception desk! The hotel itself is beautifully appointed and the staff were truly wonderful, attentive and welcoming. I’ve been a long standing customer of the Hilton chain but my eyes have been opened to the Fairmont. Thank you for helping create a wonderful start to our special Christmas holiday.
YVR location convenience at a price

We stayed here for a few days for business meetings in Vancouver, it was convenient to stay at the airport. Yes, the rooms are pretty sound proof, and beds comfortable, however the frequent interruption of the waiters in the restaurant and bar pushing more drinks on us was irritating. The restaurant and bar were not clean either, greasy food stains on one of the chairs and nut crumbs in the seat were not appetizing. The venue is pretty average for the caliber of the hotel and location at best with prices reflecting its convenient location.
Rest before our connecting flight

The room was spacious and clean , check in was quick and easy, the staff were friendly and helpful and the bed was very comfortable. After a long day of traveling my husband and I needed sleep before our connecting flight. We really enjoyed watching planes take off and land from our window.

I was very disappointed that unscented toiletries were unavailable during my stay. The request was in my profile and it took three inquiries after check in to learn they were not available. In the end the offer was made to send an associate out to purchase items at the airport pharmacy. I was not able to accept this offer not knowing what products would be available for purchase. Disappointment and frustration could have been avoided with the information at check in and has lowered my satisfaction.
