Convenient and excellent service

Mschoe (Fort Worth, Texas) on Sep 11, 2024

Easy to check in and checkout. Rooms are well appointed, nice size bathroom. Quiet and comfortable with all the amenities of a 4-5 star hotel. There are two restaurants or you can also eat at the airport food court, not far from the lobby of the hotel.

GREAT stay

deborak985 (Peachland) on Sep 10, 2024

GREAT hotel with a lovely lounge to dine in. The room is lovely and current and the beds are comfy too. I enjoy staying here when it is a quick trip having to stay in or near the YVR. So easy to walk from luggage the hotel and when you are leaving in the morning to catch an early flight. Worth the price!

Fantastic experience and staff

travelanywherenow (Dayton, Ohio) on Sep 08, 2024

We had to come in a day early for a cruise and thought this would perfect as it is located within YVR airport. I had booked about the same time I booked our cruise, so I don't recall what options I had for rooms etc. I did sign up for the Accor loyalty program. The rate was in the 500's CDN but we wanted a relaxing experience after a long flight from Ohio. Our flight landed much earlier than we expected and as we couldn't check in right away we just went to the hotel restaurant/bar and had a light meal. We decided to ask the front desk if there was any way to check in earlier. They gave us an option called 'Fairmont Gold' for an additional $180 CDN to be able to check in early (immediately) and get a free 'buffet' dinner, evening snacks and breakfast. We did so without hesitation. (I learned later you can book an early check in room for only a slightly higher amount--but no airport view rooms or gold experience without additional fee) I believe the whole 14th floor was the gold floor. We checked in and went to our room. It was facing the tarmac and runway and had a great view of incoming/outgoing aircraft complete with an airplane spotting guide and binoculars. The room was spacious, smelled amazing and the bed was incredibly comfortable. In addition, there was a jacuzzi tub with bath salts, premium toiletries and a separate vanity and mirror area. The shower had adequate pressure and was very clean. The staff were incredible/attentive, friendly and did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. We went to the lounge for the 'dinner' buffet, which actually consisted of appetizers and light snacks. The evening snacks were chips/cookies/nuts etc. There was also soda/beer and some alcohol available. For breakfast, there were fresh scrambled eggs/bacon/sausage potatoes, yogurt, pastries and juices. The only negatives were that the toilet door had no privacy with a 'shutter' type door that did not obscure noise and the jacuzzi tub did not drain after use, I had to hold up the stopper. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay.

Convenient start to any trip

Tania M (Squamish, Canada) on Sep 07, 2024

You can’t beat the convenience of this hotel for early morning flights and late arrivals. Well appointed and comfortable rooms, fresh water, fun views of the tarmac activity. Restaurant is good, though a little pricey. But if you’re looking for a bargain the food court is a minute or two walk. But the live music is nice to enjoy a night cap to before turning in for the night.

Great place to stay

JOSE D on Sep 06, 2024

Great location, friendly staff. The room was clean, spacious and extremely quiet. The bed was comfortable. I was surprised the quietness of the room next to the airport. Great place to stay and relax. Highly recommended when in the area. Will definitely be back.
