We had a great stay at PlayaVista Azul over New Years. The staff are incredibly hard working and friendly. Their efforts to decorate and celebrate New Year’s Eve was appreciated. Their two beaches are well maintained and we enjoyed the peddle boats with Jose’s help. The food is good for CUBA with a selection of fruit (papaya, pineapple, banana, guava and star fruit ), veggies (cucumber, tomatoes, cabbage, mushrooms, peppers, pumpkin and beans). We found the chicken and pork to be the best options. They had spices and hot sauce as options. In terms of restaurants we enjoyed the Caribbean (Marleni and Mily) and Italian for dinner, the small beach bar for lunch (buffet with amazing staff - Senen (bar)and Ariel for table service for drinks) and buffet breakfast (love the omelet station ladies and Anna who took care of us with orange juice and coffee). The coffee at the Lobby bar is the BEST Tx to the amazing service of Livia who remembered our coffee orders after the first order - 24 hours later. Our favourite server in the Lobby bar was Gilberto - incredibly warm, friendly and always service with a smile. Lastly the cleaning staff worked hard and our room was always spotless thanks to Rosi’s attention to detail. The hotel is 20 min from the airport and well laid out. There are a few areas where the resort could invest in repairs (ie a few cracked tiles on pool stairs)

The hotel has a relaxed atmosphere that works perfectly for a friends’ trip. We spent most of our time between the beach and the pool, enjoying the views and the calm environment. It was a simple, fun, and refreshing getaway. We left with good memories and would gladly return."

The hotel has a laid-back atmosphere that makes it easy to disconnect. We spent our days between the beach and the pool, enjoying the views and the calm environment. In the evenings, we relaxed, talked for hours, and enjoyed the breeze. It was the perfect place to recharge and enjoy good company. We left feeling refreshed and already thinking about coming back.
