We traveled a long way from Belarus in December to enjoy your amazing culture and ocean. I extend my best wishes to all the hotel staff, especially Argenis, who made this holiday so much fun!!! It was the best vacation ever??

Another great visit with our many friends at the resort. We have visited the Azul multiple times and never disappointed. We were actually booked to return in mid-March for another visit which now will have to wait until Canadian airlines resume service.

Enjoyed a great week at this resort. Pool loungers were hard to come by as they were all covered with towels by 7 am (but no people!) We always managed to get one in the afternoon but had to be in the sun or a less desirable location. The pool was a bit chilly but that is just due to time of year. The beach was beautiful as always. The resort next door is closed so the whole stretch of beach in front of them is empty which was nice. Resort staff were fantastic. We were the last week before the two month shut down from Canada and frankly if I knew I was out of a job for two months, I would not put in much effort. Absolutely nothing changed in their attitudes which was great. Our hearts broke for them and what was coming. The food in the buffet was the same every day and every meal but was still good. The restaurants were all good. They are walk in but we managed to get in without a wait. Night time entertainment shows were great! Grease was the best show I have ever seen. Also had some unique things like animals for photos and airbrush tattoos. There was a lack of places to go at night though. The only option is the lobby which was quite small. The entertainment area has a very small bar with no seating. We stayed in the large hotel block style building above the restaurants and the theatre which I initially thought was great. However, when the shows are on it is very loud!! Same for the music coming from the pool during the day. Great when you're in it but not so much when you want an early night. The sunsets over the infinity pool were like nothing I have ever seen before! The coffee shop was such a nice addition! The ladies in there were so fantastic. There are a few little market shops to buy souvenirs. Overall was a really great trip. We had a great time and miss it already! Can't wait to be able to get back to Cuba <3

We stayed for 5 nights and overall it was a good experience other than the beds and pillows; they were uncomfortable and our bodies were sore everyday. We were in the 6th building so not sure if it was older or something? Food was better than expected, good variety at the buffet. Drinks were good too; sometimes they would run out of things but they would be replenished next day. It also depends on the time of day when you eat, obviously things are more picked over later in the day. Beach was breathtaking, clear blue water - left beach was great for walking, beach on the right was nice but a bit further, less room to walk the shore. There was seaweed on the beach but it was very windy, rarely saw any in the water. Staff were great, super grateful and friendly. Shows were also awesome - Michael Jackson, Grease and magic show were very well done. **Plastic Cups were very small and they ran out of glasses alot unfortunately so that could be improved. Overall it was a good stay, but because of the uncomfortable bed and pillows, no hand towels in our room or beer in the fridge (premium guests only), it’s more of a 3.5-4 star.

First impressions were not great. This resort is getting tired and it’s clear that there has been very little preventative maintenance or upkeep. Furniture and decor are dated and worn. (Lobby furniture, pool chairs, beds and room furniture). I would also not recommend this resort for anyone with mobility issues. Now, aside from that the Staff truly make this resort excellent. Having travelled all over the Caribbean I can confidently say that this was by far my best experience with amazing staff. Too many to list but everywhere we went on the resort we had the best experience with these amazing people. The food was great at the buffet. As mentioned in other reviews; if you can’t find something to eat here then you’re too picky or need to be going somewhere much more expensive. We ate at the Italian restaurant 3 times (chicken parm and tomato soup were excellent). Lobby bar was by far my favourite spot to get a drink and socialize. The coffee bar in the morning was also a favorite spot for a specialty coffee and a pastry. The resort has two separate beach areas to either side of the resort as the front is a rocky area. Easy to get to both but not great for those with difficulty navigating uneven steps or steep hills. The pools were quite cold but we came just after the cold snap so we weren’t surprised or bothered. This was our first time vacationing among so many Russians. Culturally very different from what I am used to and that’s all I’ll say about that. All in all, this resort was a great value for the money and we will consider a return trip when possible.
