Great Hotel
akjulienm (Port Angeles, Washington) on Jan 05, 2025
The hotel is in a perfect location to get around Victoria. It also is close to the harbor and the main downtown shopping and restaurant areas. There is a Starbucks in the lobby that is busy and popular. The staff was great. As a diamond member we got a made to order breakfast. The fitness facility is very small. Only 2 treadmills, an elliptical, and a peloton bike. There is a little weights area. It wasn’t busy when I was there so it was no big deal…but a bigger space and more equipment would be great. I’d hate to not get a machine to use if it were any busier.
Good value, but stay away from construction

This hotel is relatively new and it is just a block from the Empress and two from the waterfront and Government Street. We had booked a King suite 'with a view' and got 'upgraded' to a "Deluxe Suite" with a great view of the construction across the street. Was it because of the kids, or that we we were using rewards? Bed was comfy, but pull out couch was very much not. My kids wouldn't even sleep on it on the frame so we pulled it onto the floor. The hotel would be advised to invest in some higher quality mattresses for their sofa beds. The 'kitchenette' was a counter with a microwave, sink and small fridge. That is no different from what is offered in other hotels in regular rooms. There were no small collection of plates or silverware, just three wine glasses and paper coffee cups ( we went out and bought some paper plates and disposable cutlery to use). We had two kids and were hoping to do laundry, but there was no laundry room and very overpriced laundry service (the closest laundromat was about two miles away - it would have been cheaper to have one of us uber therr than pay the $70 for four pairs of kids pants and two pairs of socks). There is a Kuerig, however, and the little fitness center was adequate for working out, with a couple of treadmills and a Peloton bike, along with some weights. Oh, and the construction? They start work around 7am during the week and done by 5. They start later on Saturdays, and don't work Sunday.
Good stay!

Good stay. The room was clean and in a great location just a few minutes walk from Inner Harbor where our boat docked. There are plenty of good restaurants and pubs near by. We also walked to Chinatown which wasn’t too far. There is also a mall and various shops close by. Would stay again, plus they have a Starbucks inside!
Great location, view and cookies! (+ extra notes)

Perhaps the best part of this hotel is its location. It’s a block from the harbour and Government street. Our room on the 10th floor had an amazing view over the city including the Parliament buildings, the Museum, the Empress hotel (the back but still pretty) and out over the ocean to the mountains beyond – it was especially beautiful at sunset! Worth noting that there was construction directly in front but hadn’t reached up to the 10th floor (yet?) but it looked ambitious so maybe this view is time sensitive. Claudia at reception checked us in efficiently and went above and beyond to make our stay pleasurable…including, but not limited to, giving me an extra welcome cookie for my husband who arrived later – they are a truly amazing chocolate chip oatmeal (and I have no shame)... my husband may or may not have received it. The room is as you would expect from the pictures and this style of hotel: spacious with good amenities (microwave, fridge, Keurig coffee), business hotel carpet and no balcony. The linens and pillows were great, the beds in our room were soft – but a lot of people like that. If you’re not one of those people, there is enough space to do yoga or lie on the floor to un-kink your back in the morning. Note: There is only valet parking at the hotel ($30). Quick glance suggests this is worth it as we only saw street parking with 1.5 hour time limits until 8pm. Government street is worth the walk: we enjoyed live music at the Irish Times Pub and definitely check out Munro’s books! It was so great to see a packed bookstore with so much vitality!
Boardroom Suite with Water View
MTravelWise (Seattle, Washington) on Nov 08, 2024
This boardroom suite has breathtaking views of the harbor! There is a balcony that you can step outside and get fresh air. The large table comfortably seats 10 people with a television screen mounted on the nearby wall. The wet bar area is perfect for setting up food and drinks for a small gathering. The bathroom is located outside the bedroom so the mastersuite guest has privacy. The King Suite room also has beautiful views of the city. The windows in the living room area are high enough that you can open them for fresh air. The hotel is in close proximity to a number of attractions. We took a short Uber from the Victoria Clipper terminal, I would not recommend walking. Also, we enjoyed the full service Starbucks near the lobby. There is a luggage storage option available.
