Hotel in Victoria, BC

StephanyW (Fayetteville, Tennessee) on Sep 28, 2023

Beautiful landscaping around the hotel. They were very accommodating for our travel group, even making single rooms adapted for dual occupancy. There is a small restaurant and they assigned seating times for groups so everyone could be fed in a timely manner. Breakfast buffet was limited but the food was well cooked. Only one ice machine, on the basement level, was not the most convenient, but it worked. The hotel is located one street back from Victoria harbor; an easy walk to The Empress hotel, restaurants, museum, shopping, the harbor, float planes.

Excellent location!

We had a great stay. First thing we were upgraded to a suite with a kitchen & living room. Our room was always clean & very comfortable. The restaurant on location had great breakfast. The location is one block in from the ocean and a block to Government house. Easy to walk to everything downtown. It was a delightful stay.

Nice & Quaint place to stay

Room was nice and roomy. We had a living/dining room and kitchen, the areas were equipped with your needs except of course for what you would need in the refrigerator. Close to Coho Ferry We would stay here again.

Cozy and cute!

This was such a delightful little spot. The suite we had was a full studio apartment style complete with an oven and balcony! You could stay comfortably there with a small family--plenty of space. The pool and hot tub were also a great touch. We bundled our stay with a ferry package and it was truly a great deal. I would definitely stay here again, close to everything!

Too often overlooked!

This will be the second time staying at the Royal Scot and I would still highly recommend it. The location can't be beat for the cost, especially if you're coming in on the Clipper or Black Ball Ferry. It's a block and a half away from the terminals. And it's nice to spend time up on busy Government St and then be able to come down a few blocks to a quieter area for the evening. The pool and hot tub are great and the studio suites are very spacious. Sure, the decor is a little more vintage but everything's clean and the staff is super nice and helpful. And note for summer months, there is no air conditioning, but the suites have two powerful fans that did a great job of keeping the rooms cool at night. Plus, they have two EV chargers for guests to use for free. And tons of parking. And it's close to a few grocery stores, cafes and coffee shops. My 15yo son said he wants to live at the Scot which is fine as they have long-term stay plans!
