We stayed for 3 days of business/personal. We originally received a room without a balcony which had a very loud portable AC unit. The room was very nice but either very warm or very cold. The next day we asked, and received a room with a balcony. We didn’t realize these rooms don’t have AC and the balcony doesn’t have a screen to keep the door open. Despite this, we would highly recommend the hotel for 2 main reasons. Exceptionally lobby/lounging areas and exceptional staff. We felt very welcomed and cared for.

The hotel is nice and is tucked back from the busy streets of Victoria. We were able to check into our room early and the room itself was nice, however we had a ground floor suite, room 110 which was right beside the restaurant kitchen, and there was no soundproofing at all, so until about 11pm we heard pots and pans banging around constantly from the kitchen, staff loudly yelling to each other and people outside our door in the hallway just sitting on the floor chatting. We had a baby with us and the noise woke her up quite a few times. I had previously stayed here before and was on a higher floor which was quiet and nice, so it was unfortunate to get this room.

This boutique hotel was perfect for our family excursion to Victoria and the quiet neighborhood location is unbeatable for exploring Victoria. It provides safe walking access to the wharf, parks, restaurants and the general downtown area. Its also a geat base for adventures by car. The hotel rooms are clean and comfortably appointed and a full kitchen provides the option to dine-in. The lobby area offers a relaxed vibe (live music on some evenings) and the restaurant and bar, while seperate from the hotel, offer a good option for happy hour, dinner, and breakfast. Direct booking, check-in, parking, and check-out were seamless.

What a lovely place to stay, beautiful rooms/suites and helpful friendly staff. Would definitely recommend and would love to return

I have stayed at The Oswego Hotel around a dozen times and every single time the quality of everything, from cleanliness to the kind staff to the food at their restaurant is exceptional. I can't say enough about this hotel. The rooms are extremely clean and very spacious. I love the fact you can open the windows for fresh air and the balconies. The rooms have high ceilings which makes it even more comfortable. The staff is so friendly and polite. The food at the restaurant is delicious and fresh. I love the healthy alternatives on the menu. Although the hotel is walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, tourist attractions, etc. it's on a very quiet street. I will continue to stay at this hotel every time I visit Victoria.
