Lower your expectations, it’s worth it for the express passes

Samantha B on Jun 10, 2026

Beautiful at surface level but lacking in some areas. Firstly I need to mention that we only stayed here 1 night and payed £470 for a standard room. When you consider the express passes it was still worth it but as it was so expensive I expected more. Complimentary water for example. They do provide 2 bottles of water in the room however if you drink them you are charged $8 + 22% restocking fee per bottle!! The shower gel was completely empty and the kids splash area was not operational when we used the pool at 6pm. It’s a nice hotel, very complicated layout, the staff are friendly and welcoming but I wouldn’t give it 4 or 5 stars. Come for the express passes, expect a 3 star hotel that charges 5* prices for any and all purchases.

Awesome Experience!

carolynJC4409IK on Jun 01, 2026

This hotel is my favorite to stay in by universal out of all of them. you can walk to the entrance in only 5 to 10 minutes, and every now and then you can hear hulk throwing people in the parks. The rooms are nice, and super clean. the atmosphere is super chill, just what people need after a day in the park. This hotel might be a little more expensive than the smaller hotels, but you get free fast passes, so it makes it worth it. The service is really good. This is probably my favorite hotel ever.

Stay at Loews Royal Pacific Resort

Peter C on Jun 01, 2026

This hotel has a great location with a short walk to Universal Studios allowing for you to get to the park and rides quickly. The rooms are mazing with comfortable beds, great views of the park and are always very clean. The hotel is decent value for the experience of the parks if you have a good experience but but a bit expensive. They have great amenities and service with staff being helpful and regularly cleaning rooms; large pools allowing you to relax and swim; and you can have a good meal. A nice and peaceful atmosphere and low noise level allowing for a relaxing stay.

Royal Pacific

We stayed for a week at the end of May. The staff was very accommodating and engaging. “Donald” (who I met pushing a huge laundry cart) was a joy to visit with and very informative. The pool was great and hotel was very clean. Yes, it is very expensive but proximity to the parks and fast passes offset the cost. We enjoyed our week immensely
