Stayed at Breathless Xhale club the 1st week in December. Good time to go. It was not too busy. The location is convenient as it is right on the marina. 5 minute walk to the mall. There are no rooms with ocean view. There is Marina view only. It is not as relaxing as we had hoped. The hotel is in one building and the majority of the restaurants and the main pool are next door in an adjacent building. When walking from one building to the next there are drug dealers less than 5ft away on the sidewalk, calling out to you aggressively, trying to sell weed and cocaine. There is a hotel security guard between you and the drug dealers but it was disconcerting to say the least. The people that work in the Xhale club are fantastic. Check in was seamless. Be wary of the timeshare sales people that are embedded with the hotel. They will tell you it’s not timeshare but it’s the closest thing to it. They will offer you leisure cash that can be used at the resort for what was promised to be a 90 minute presentation. They offered us $350 which we used towards a room upgrade and a day in a cabana, and they did deliver the leisure cash as promised. It was not 90 minutes. It lasted 3hrs. The first few reps we dealt with, Viktor and Rick were very nice. They gave us their spiels and we were not interested. They then had us sit down with their closer, Manny who was not nice. He was very slimy. He told us that his colleagues would be fired if we didn’t purchase. He left a very bad impression. BTW, they wanted $29,000 for the cheapest package which gives you the opportunity to book cheaper vacations for the next 15 years. It was very convoluted and there were a lot of different options and points and promotions and discounts, etc. etc. if you signed right away. Even after we said we were not interested, we met with two more individuals before we got our leisure cash. What started out as a leisurely experience got more and more pressured. This was the low point of our vacation. The service in the resort was very good. From housekeeping to front desk, to Xhale club to room service. All excellent. The porters were also excellent. Special call out to Manuel who greeted us when we arrived and helped us with our bags when we left. The food and drinks in the Xhale club were top notch as was the service. The quality of the food in the other restaurants was not very good except for the Japanese restaurant. The Japanese was very good. The drinks outside of Xhale were not as good. Funny enough, some of the best food was from room service, which was very good. The beach cabana was excellent and Javier who provided service on the beach was excellent. Julio, the manager at Ocote was excellent and made extra effort to ensure a good experience. Santiago and his female colleague in Xhale were fantastic. The spa staff were attentive and great. There are 2 pools. There is a very small pool at the room elevators. The other pool they refer to as the “ party” pool is very nicely kept. It is clean and there is a great view of the ocean. There were plenty of chairs and cabanas. We never had trouble finding a chair or a towel. Plenty of towels. Plenty of staff. Great service. All in all it was a good vacation. All the hotel staff tried very hard.

Everything and everyone...awesome! The staff all very friendly and responsive to all our needs. The facilities are well-appointed and amenities high class. Check in was quick and easy, offered welcome drinks while checking in. Staff was amazing here. I was fortunate enough to meet Rodrigo who is a manager. He is an amazing person and definitely goes the extra mile to make sure our stay was great. As a Globalist he made sure we received extra benefits. Pool vibe is great with DJ and free flowing drinks. Pool over looks beach and harbour very beautiful and makes for a great day of people watching and boat watching. Italian restaurant was very good. We had chicken parm and lobster raviolis and split a pizza. Service and food were great. We will definitely put this on our return list as we prefer Breathless way over our usual Secrets Cabo. Thanks again Rodrigo for making us feel at home!
