The Banff Ptarmigan Inn is centrally located in Banff National Park only steps away from the downtown area. This mountain hotel is a great escape to the Canadian Rockies. On your vacation you can enjoy our mountain views, and numerous outdoor activities from hiking trails, canoe rides, and biking in the summer, skiing, skating, and snowshoeing in the winter. Overall, our stay at the Ptarmigan Inn in Banff was pleasant. The location is excellent, and the front desk staff were consistently polite, courteous, and helpful, which created a positive first impression. However, considering the relatively high price point, we were somewhat surprised to find that certain areas of the hotel appeared a little worn and in need of some attention. The main disappointment of our visit was the service in the bar. On both occasions we visited, the lady serving was notably rude and unprofessional. Her dismissive attitude made us feel uncomfortable, and we chose to leave during our second visit. This experience also deterred us from dining in the hotel restaurant, as we did not wish to encounter similar treatment. Banff itself is a beautiful destination, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in the area. However, due to the issues mentioned above, we can only rate our overall experience at the Ptarmigan Inn as three stars.

Fantastic location for exploring Banff and the surrounding area. Friendly staff, room was great nice large comfy bed and super clean. Would definitely recommend.
