We’ll be back!

Karen N on Apr 03, 2026

Don’t listen to the negative reviews just be prepared and you will love your full experience! Reserving chairs at the pool is a must. Full kitchens make cooking in the room and ease. Wonderful space for families to spread out. Shuttles worked great for day experiences. One of our best encounters was with Sauriel Jax at the flow rider!! He was excellent with our young children. Patient kind with 100% recommend if you’re visiting the flow rider you make sure it’s a day that he’s taking care of you.

Extremely Disappointing Stay

Daydream06226305213 on Apr 02, 2026

This was our second visit here as a family (myself, my wife, and our 4 year old). We first stayed in 2024 and had such a great experience that we decided to return in 2026. Unfortunately, that decision turned out to be a huge mistake. The problems started the moment we arrived after a 10 hour flight. Check in was advertised as starting from 4pm. We arrived at 6pm, waited over an hour just to reach the front desk, and were then told our room still wasn’t ready and to wait in the lobby. We finally got access to the room at 8:30pm, over four hours after check in opened, and after an exhausting day of travel with no apology from staff. When we finally entered the room, it clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned. There were tissues left in the bathroom bin, food in other bins, and dirt still on the dining table. Even worse, it then took over a week before housekeeping came to properly service the room. When they did eventually empty the bins, they left the bin bags sitting outside our door for 24 hours, which is unacceptable in any resort. The facilities were no better. The kids’ pool one of the main selling points of the resort was freezing cold for the entire two weeks, meaning our child couldn’t use it. As a result, families were forced into the main pool where older kids and adults were throwing American footballs around and diving close to small children. It felt chaotic and unsafe rather than family friendly. The gym area was completely unsupervised, with kids and teenagers using it like a playground throwing medicine balls, playing tug o war on the cable machines, and slamming free weights around. This is both dangerous and incredibly frustrating for guests who actually want to use the gym properly. To make matters worse, several areas of the hotel looked like a building site, with paint, heaters, and tools left lying around. Multiple lifts were also out of service throughout the stay, meaning you had to walk long distances across the building and then wait for one of the few working lifts that everyone else was relying on. Finally, on the day before our late evening flight home, we asked about paying for a late checkout. We were told the day before that it would be possible to arrange. However, when we spoke to a member of staff called Maria (who wears glasses) at the front desk, she was incredibly dismissive and unhelpful. She had a clear attitude throughout the conversation and showed no interest in helping us. When we asked about storing luggage and whether there was somewhere to shower and change before our flight, we were told to leave all luggage in the main lobby (which wasn’t secure), use the poolside showers, and then change in the public lobby toilets. For a resort of this supposed standard, that is simply unacceptable. Overall, the service, cleanliness, and general organisation of this hotel were nowhere near the level we experienced in 2024. What was once a great family destination now feels poorly managed and badly maintained. We will definitely not be returning and would strongly advise families with young children to look elsewhere.

Avoid if you can

Harriet G on Apr 02, 2026

This is our second and unfortunately last stay at The Grove Resort. We have previously stayed here in 2024 and really enjoyed our stay. Not sure what has happened in the last 2 years but it is now terrible. We have stayed for 2 weeks as a family of 3 from the UK. We arrived at 7pm, after an 18 hour travelling day, waited over an hour for check in to be told our room was not ready with no estimated time, we were given a key card and told we could use the pool facilities until it was ready (the pool closed at 7pm), no apologies, the attitude of the staff on reception was nothing short of dismissive and rude. I explained I have an autistic son who was extremely tired and overstimulated from the travelling and really struggling - no care or consideration given. The rooms in The Grove are large, comfy beds and mostly equipped kitchen which is one of the many reasons we chose to come back, this remains the same but unfortunately our room was just about clean on the surface, there was hair in the showers, the floor in the wardrobe area was damp and stunk of mold for the majority of our stay. Underneath the bed was disgustingly dirty. Our sheets were changed once in our 2 week stay a few days in and our bin was changed once, but then the dirty bin bag was left outside the room for 24 hours alongside the rest of the rooms. There was no beds available around the pool, which is understandable considering spring break etc, you could pay to reserve beds. We really enjoyed the kids area of the waterpark on our previous stay, Unfortunately, this time there was no heating in the kids pool, it was literally freezing, no kids were playing in this and my son actually cried when he stood in the water. This then meant the other pool was overcrowded and at times felt unsafe. Luckily, we had Disney / Universal waterparks included in our park tickets so we spent our pool days there instead. We were entitled to late check out dependant on availability with our Virgin package, I had enquired 3 times about this during our stay and was told we needed to wait until closer to check out. Our flight was evening time, on the day before check out, I had spoke to someone at reception, who again was less than helpful and could not have cared less, they explained I needed to appreciate it was spring break and Easter and they were fully booked, even though I had explained to them rooms were available to still be booked all weekend, they denied this despite me showing them on booking.com. They explained if it was available then I could pay the £380 night rate, so it was not a case of no availability, they just want you to pay more money. I asked to speak to the manager, they said they would reach out over email, and as expected did not contact myself. My husband went back to the desk to speak to someone to ask about our options with luggage after checkout, key cards etc and spoke to a staff member called Maria who was even more rude than all the other staff we had spoken to along our stay. Overall, there are much nicer places to spend your money, I would not recommend staying here, which is very disappointing given our previous stay. We won’t be coming back to The Grove when we come back to Florida.

Beautiful property, Excellent Service

Michelle T on Apr 02, 2026

We had such a great time at The Grove. Our room was beautiful and the view amazing! We could even see the fireworks from Magic Kingdom from our balcony. We rented a cabana at the water park one day which I highly recommend. Krystal, our Cabana server, was a definite highlight of our trip! She was attentive and fun. Her positive attitude and wit made her feel like another friend along on our trip! The food at The Longboard Bar & Grill in the water park was really good. The other restaurant, Valencia, was really the only weak point we encountered at The Grove. The food was mediocre fast food quality at sit-down restaurant prices. We ate there twice, but that was enough for us. The pools were lovely. Just be sure to claim a spot early or you won’t find a chair. This was a great Disney-adjacent stay. We would definitely return to The Grove!

Unbelievable service thanks Soha!

Ronnie S on Apr 01, 2026

I had an amazing experience at The Grove Resort & Water Park Orlando, and I have to give a special shoutout to Soha. She truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. From the moment we arrived, she was attentive, kind, and incredibly helpful with anything we needed. Her professionalism and genuine care really stood out — it’s rare to come across someone who takes so much pride in making guests feel comfortable and valued. Whether it was answering questions, accommodating requests, or just checking in to make sure we were enjoying our stay, Soha exceeded all expectations. Because of her, our experience was not just good, but exceptional. I would absolutely come back again and highly recommend this resort — especially if you get the chance to be helped by Soha!
