Stayed here for 2 weeks mid July 26, firstly the positive stuff. The rooms are spacious and reasonably well equipped, toaster, coffee machine (which doubles as a kettle) oven, microwave, fridge freezer etc. the location is good, close to all the theme parks and loads of restaurants within 10 minutes drive. Parking arrangements are good and we were able to park on our floor close to the room. And now the not so good stuff, check in was a poor experience, the attitude of the reception staff was as though I was an inconvenience to them. The room wasn’t ready and I was told I would get a txt and email when it was ready. I asked how long they thought it would be only to be told “as long as it takes”…. Never got a txt or email. The hallways are dirty and smelly, probably the worst I’ve even seen in a hotel. The hotel is noisy, from above and below and the corridors. Take earplugs if you are a light sleeper. The main bedroom blinds were dropping off and the whole apartment wasn’t very clean. Housekeeping came once a week but didn’t seem to do anything?? No fresh towels, no top up of shampoo or shower gel. It looked like a 2 year old had decorated the room, the paint was all over the areas it should have been. The outside areas and gardens are well kept but overall this resort is disappointing.

I come to the Grover every 3 months scaping from NYC stress. As soon I get to The Grove I feel welcome for the sfatt (Specially from Mrs SOHA the receptionist , she is so Kind and helpful). I recommend The Grover, the water Park is Paradise for no only the Kids also for adults you will feel a kid again. The food is great and the Pinas Coladas are the best. The Room are amazing and you will feel welcone. Creeme el mejor lugar para pasar tus vacaciones en Orlando.

Do not stay here. It is filthy. Check -in took almost 2 hours and they were surly at best. The actual room was spacious, but smelt terrible. Cups were not clean and I picked up a knife and the blade fell out the handle almost causing a nasty accident. Communal areas are SO DIRTY and really smell bad. Carpets cannot have been cleaned in years nevermnid vacuumed..... The pool area is also filthy with dangerous, sharp broken tiles, none of the water fountains around the lazy river work, the bar and snack area close at 5pm - surely this is when most people want the bar open? If you want a chair close to the pool you have to pay extra thus all the chairs close to the pool were empty and everyone was further back. Only one restaurant was open to eat. It was literally empty and they told us we had to wait 25 minutes. We waited at the bar in the hotel where my wine was served in a disposable cup - no glass. Tables were dirty. Food was average and overpriced and they couldn't even get the number of chicken wings correct - 7 instead of 8. No body lotion in the rooms. I have had to come home and wash everything as the smell from the room is lingering..... Just awful and not cheap. Never again.
The Negative Reviews Were Right

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after our stay, I feel it’s important to share our experience because many of the reviews I read before booking unfortunately turned out to be accurate. I really wanted to love The Grove Resort Orlando and gave it every opportunity to impress us, but it was one disappointment after another. From the moment we arrived, the customer service was lacking. The check-in staff was neither friendly nor helpful. I booked a two-bedroom, two-bath condo and asked if any upgraded rooms with superior views were available. The front desk agent told me they had already “upgraded” us to a three-bedroom, three-bath condo. I explained that I didn’t need an extra bedroom since it was only my husband, our two-year-old son, and me. I was interested in a better view, not a larger room. He said he would see what he could do, but we were still assigned the three-bedroom condo. Later, another employee confirmed that two-bedroom superior-view condos were in fact available, making the situation even more frustrating. When we entered our room, it was immediately obvious that it had not been properly cleaned. There was dust and dirt throughout the condo. We had planned to request another room immediately, but after a long day of traveling with a toddler, we were exhausted and decided to eat dinner first. When we returned, I asked the front desk to move us because the room was dirty. I was told we would have to wait until 3:00 p.m. the following day to change rooms, which was extremely inconvenient. Ironically, when we got back to the room, housekeeping had clearly entered while we were at dinner and wiped away some of the visible dust. There is no way they could have thoroughly cleaned the entire condo during the short time we were gone. This only confirmed that we had been checked into a room that had not been cleaned before our arrival. Unfortunately, the problems continued throughout our stay. On the third day, the second bathroom toilet clogged and would not flush. Maintenance came and temporarily fixed it. Then on the fourth day, the master bathroom toilet also clogged and stopped flushing. The worst issue occurred that same night when water began leaking from the ceiling into the living room, through the kitchen light fixture, and into the master bedroom. My husband called the front desk around 3:00 a.m. to report the leak, but the only solution offered was for someone to come at 6:00 a.m. No one ever arrived, so we had to call again later that morning. When maintenance finally came, they simply vacuumed up the water rather than addressing the source of the leak. The refrigerator’s ice maker also didn’t work and wasn’t repaired until our third day. We repeatedly had to call housekeeping because our room was not adequately stocked with essentials like shower gel and washcloths. The bathroom included hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash—but no lotion. For a resort that advertises itself as upscale, that was surprising. The room itself showed clear signs of neglect. The curtain in the master bedroom was hanging off because part of the curtain rod was missing. We also happened to look underneath the master bed and found it absolutely filthy. On the fifth day, the second bathroom toilet clogged again. The condition of the resort outside our room wasn’t much better. The hallways in Building 1 smelled strongly of urine, the hallway carpets were dirty, and the elevator floors were filthy. Our room was on the sixth level, which was convenient because we could park on the same level as our room. However, the exterior lights on that level of the parking garage were not working, making it difficult—and honestly unsafe—to get our toddler in and out of the car after dark. Another major disappointment was the cost. We were charged a $275 resort fee at check-in, yet I’m still not sure what that fee actually covered. Nearly everything at the resort required an additional charge. Pool chairs cost extra, housekeeping isn’t included unless requested, activities around the resort all have separate fees, and guests are charged if they lose the pool towels provided in their room. At a resort charging these rates and collecting a substantial resort fee, many of these should be standard amenities—not additional expenses. Finally, check-out was just as disappointing as check-in. I expected at least a simple “How was your stay?” Instead, the front desk employee took our room keys, said, “Okay, that’s it,” and dismissed us. When I asked for a printed receipt, she simply told me to check my email instead of printing one. The only positive thing I can genuinely say about this property is the convenience of being able to park on the same level as your room. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing resort experiences we’ve had. Between the poor customer service, dirty accommodations, maintenance issues, lack of cleanliness, and constant extra fees, I cannot recommend staying here. We will not be returning.
