Lovely location and Aruba is beautiful but sadly very much a 3* experience but definitely 5* prices. The staff were great but food and drink very limited. Multiple themed restaurants had the same limited drinks menu… there was better choice (and quality) on the flight in. The best beer was extra $$ in an all inclusive restaurant! The exception was the Mexican which was lovely authentic food and great service. There was no policing of the people monopolising the loungers (no rules enforced) and terrible communications on arrival. When we couldn’t get into the restaurant we were told we should have booked them all on arrival. Again, 5* to us is not planning your whole week on arrival, but especially poor to not tell you! With a beautiful location and willing staff it could have been so much better!

Captain Rodell is a perfect the perfect maître D. Very attentive and added to our wonderful dinning experience. Our waiter was Victor. Victor was so kind and he went above and beyond to ensure that we had an incredible dinning experience. The food was incredible. I had the grouper and my husband had the surf and turf. The surf and turf is a must!

I came in with low expectations since i had been here before. i added one more star this time. we upgraded to ocean front room and it's worth the extra money. food is just ok. mexican restaurant was my least favorite. i liked the hibachi and italian. breakfast and lunch is just mediocre. the beach bar at royal level is amazing. the pool is good but the music isn't. too much slow country songs. the bed is just ok. most staff did great. lisette (not sure spelling) francisco. the lobby waitresses in bar are fantastic. The royal restaurant waiters, Hiro but i can't remember the other ones name. it's a good deal for location and all inclusive.
