We had an issue with the hot water heater (which is fine, things happen) that they didn’t fix for hours. We first reported it at 530/6 pm and it was after 10 when they “fixed” it. It wasn’t fixed, and we were told we were moving so we packed up before leaving for a tour. When we returned they told us everything was fixed and took us to the same room. We tried the water (which got barely hot) and went back and forth on if we were moving or not. Finally they moved us to another room ( where we were across the road at the marina) which is fine, except we know the main hotel wasn’t booked, as it was low season. It is a longer walk to the restaurant, etc. which normally would have been fine but my husband had foot surgery earlier in the year. We were also overcharged on our bill and had to get them to fix it. We also had ants in our first room. We were tired and just wanted our shower after walking around in 100 degree heat all day. The view is beautiful, the rooms aren’t very functional and the staff was okay. Some were amazing…and some were not.

Everything about this was incredible. Stunning hotel, great staff, fantastic location. Right on the ocean, with ocean activities. We will be back!

Our loft room was really nice! Spacious enough for our family of four! Bright in the morning though due to no shades on the windows. The pool is huge and very fun! The Sargassum was a bummer, but we rented a golf cart through the hotel. We went into Placencia and swam at the beautiful beach there. We drove into the village for dinner every night. Our golf cart was very helpful to get around town. The rental prices through the hotel were equal to the outside vendors anyway.

The Itz Ana Staff made this such an enjoyable vacation in which so many memories were made. We met old friends and made new friends as well. The restaurant dining was exquisite and all the amenities that your resort provided was amazing.
